This first half with us starting our bench has been fascinating. You can see Joe is trying to see which bench player can defend G and be willing to take charges

I thought for sure that game would have been over by halftime with all the players out last night.

Even in a loss it was fun to watch the very undermanned Celtics.

Is there another team as deep as them?

Lots of talk about Thybulle’s debut and him hitting 4 threes. Last night he took 3 and missed all of them. 2 points, 1 assist, 1 rebound in 30 minutes.

That is just not true though.

I am always saying teams need to make moves with the ultimate vision of contending for a title in mind.

However, by your definition, the Kings have been just as successful as the Celtics over the past 10 years.

I don’t think anyone would argue that.
Wrong again, no surprise

It ain’t teams that make moves. It’s the players !

The players make the decision on what team suits them and who their supporting cast will be.

You ain’t winning a title without super stars and they call all the shots. Not the team.

Owners and mgmt are nuttin but puppets today.

Everyone has a lucky night here and there. Won't know until there is consistency, haven't seen that from him yet.

Star players can convince management to sign guys but those are pretty rare and it's usually only the superstars so overall I disagree. For example, Cuban definitely went to Luka before the Kyrie trade and asked him if he would like to play with him but that makes sense. You want your best players filled in on most, not everything but most.

Reaves didn't make the 3 point contest?

...but somehow Mac McClung is in the dunk contest. He was JUST signed to a 2-way deal with the Sixers. A total of 18 G-league games to his credit this year, let's put him in the NBA dunk contest lol.

Definitely go after Barton.

He’s a legit 6’6.

We still have time for other guys to get buyouts.

I would love Pat Bev or D Rose if he’s bought out.
After Monday night's debacle, I think they need a defensive specialist for PG/SG more, what Pat Bev was hoped to be.

The Cavs didn't cater to LeBron as far as what players he wanted?
They did....though I cannot recall making a deal like the one LA made in listening to him and acquiring Westbrook for decent players and assets.

Oh, I know.....waiting to see the Cavs brethren admit it.

LOL.
Possibly only won 1 title because Kyrie/Love were hurt then a cap explosion and fantastic timing allowed GS to add Durant.

Big game for Sixers and Cavs tonight. Watching Bucks vs Celtics last night, I’m reminded that in both the standings and in a pecking order sizing up the teams, the Sixers are a lot closer to the Cavs than they are the Bucks and Celtics. The good news for the Cavs and Sixers is that likely makes them a top 5-6 team in the league. Cavs and Sixers have only played once so far this year and it was Cavs shellacking on their home floor. For the most part, Sixers should be healthy with all of their group playing. Potentially PJ Tucker may not play but I read that he will go. Embiid is listed as questionable for like 40 out of the first 57 contests so not much of a hint in that designation.

And yet, the Lakers got just as many championships with Lebron as the Cavs.

But please, keep being Wiggy.
That's true but that changed because they dumped all the guys that helped them win a title and brought in a terrible fitting piece. The Cavs continued to get to the Finals while so far LA has kind of fallen short.

Though I don't think you need to worry about him leaving as LA is a kind of nice area for a rich and still kind of young family.

LA has "kinda fallen short" due to two things; injuries and the trading for Westbrook.

Yes and no. They won the title, made some roster changes that most agreed made them better, went up 2-1 on the Suns, then AD went out with injury...then they did the Westbrook trade.

Cavs continued to get to the finals? Since Lebron left? What year was that?
