No, but only because I don't see the value in a kicker at #15.Consistent 60+ yard FG's?
The offense only has to make it past the 50?
Oh hell yes.

The value is never having to punt after half field. No, but only because I don't see the value in a kicker at #15.
I think Bil should say FU to all the naysayers and draft another kicker! Hopefully in the 6 or 7th round!
Jose Borregales, K, Miami
Yeah not sure that would be the case. To many variables as it relates to the kick itself. The value is never having to punt after half field.
Just for the record, I started this. Nobody to my knowledge has mockede a kicker to the Pats.....I just can't see that high a pick on a kicker when there are so many other needs that have an effect on almost every play.
Yeah I have not seen that either, although with 4? Picks in round three I can see it happening there. Is it 4 or 3 picks in round three?Just for the record, I started this. Nobody to my knowledge has mockede a kicker to the Pats.....

I can see it in the 4th, trade some picks maybe I don't know. I feel there is a need and if the kid looks good I am okay with a 4thone 3, 3 4's
I cant see anyone drafting a kicker before the 6th round.
We have 2 picks in the 6th.
There will be UDFA kickers but any good?????
Borregalez is the only one that caught my eye......
5th would be a reach.....I can see it in the 4th, trade some picks maybe I don't know. I feel there is a need and if the kid looks good I am okay with a 4th
I feel all picks are a risk I also feel we need a kicker I don't see 4th or 5th as a reach for a position of need5th would be a reach.....
Our backup kicker was the highest ranked K in 2020......
Our backup was drafted as a 2nd round stud a couple of years ago. If he becomes that stud for us, does that remove the smear of last year's 5th round bust?5th would be a reach.....

I think because on a play by play basis the position is much less significant. Yeah there are times when a kicker makes the glory play but it pales in comparison to say a QB. WR, RB, DE, LB, LT etc. Those guys depending on if their team has the ball or not are out there every play. I am cool with 4th round but rounds 1 thru 3 I would rather not.Sorry for asking an incredibly dumb-ish question but you guys all seem to know more about this shit than I do. Since you're talking about kickers right now: why wouldn't a team take a kicker in the earlier rounds if they felt pretty certain that he would be a very good kicker?
Adam Vinatieri went undrafted. Knowing what you now know, what round you suggest the Pats go back and take him?
Stephen Gostkowski was drafted in the 4th round. Good place to draft him? Higher or lower?
Are kickers somehow a greater uncertainty going into the draft than other positions which is why they fall so far or are they simply deemed less important?
Adam V wasn't draft worthy or NFL worthy at all out of college. He's an exception in the trade to the extent he honed his craft over a couple of years after college including a stint in the European league. Without that exposure he may never had a chance to make an NFL roster.Sorry for asking an incredibly dumb-ish question but you guys all seem to know more about this shit than I do.
