I think most cringe at taking a TE in the top 7 and I agree especially when you see guys like Laporta and Kittle drafted outside of the 1st round and they are absolute beasts but whoever gets Bowers gets an incredible player. Pitts had some question marks and went top 7. Bowers really has no question marks. Maybe he could be a couple inches taller but he plays bigger regardless.

It may help the doubters to just consider Bowers a weapon in the passing game instead of as simply a TE. For the right OC of course, not someone that wants to feature the run.

I said it on my Bears board, but I'm not sure where Tip Reiman liess on the draft chart. My guess is somewhere around mid-late rounds. I'll say this much he sure brings some raw energy and strength to his game. I'd love to see our GM take a flier on him if he's available on day 3.
I think he raised his stock in the combine. Athletic profile probably suggests rd3 but I'd guess rd4.

Eh the Falcons have a good trio with London/Pitts/Robinson.. they just desperately need a QB. I doubt the Falcons are going to let him go for a 2nd round pick (which would be basically an early 3rd) especially because he's still cheap and they have the 5th year option. They'd have to give up 2 1sts easily given he's still cheap for two years.

Pitts did put up 1,000+ yards his rookie year but he had Ryan who was far more competent than Ridder... sure the thought of that on the Chiefs is frightening, but so are most talented positional players. Hell throw DK Metcalf on the Chiefs and he'd probably put up 1,700 yards and 15+ TDs (and that you could probably get for the Chiefs' 1st - which is basically an early 2nd). He was missed about 5 times this year for 50+ yard plays that would've been a TD where he was wide open lol.
