Unless Allen restructurers or extends, there is no f'ing way he is kept on that roster. I literally don't think the Chargers can make it work without restructuring every other fuckin' player on the team.
They can clear $43M cut Mack and Williams. Trade Bosa.
Another $23M for cutting Keenan but he can still produce at a very high level.

Keenan says he loves the Chargers. I think they can cut enough guys to keep Keenan one more year.

Mike Williams is an easy cut and Bosa on the block. You have to think Mack might be gone too.
Mack $38M - $15M dead
Bosa $36M
Keenan $35M - $12M dead
They could keep Keenan one more year but I think the Chargers should do a proper rebuild and let Keenan go to a contender somewhere for his one last shot.

I don't think Bosa is a viable trade.... he has a HUGE cap hit this year along with a HUGE dead cap.... he can't stay healthy and even when so, he's just not as good as his brother. The Chargers would have to trade him to a team with a ton of cap to absorb the dead money and in the process probably only get like a 3rd-4th round pick. Course that begs the question is it still worthwhile to keep him...

Agreed Mike Williams is 100% gone and Mack probably is too.... End of day that would gut most of their defense....

Eh, Chargers are in a shitty position at the moment. A QB with a ridiculous contract, and the team kind of needs to just call this a lost year. I don't think Bowers will fix anything. I think if you're the Chargers you flat out cut (or TRY to trade) Bosa, Williams, and Mack.... and just reset... Herbert is only going to be 26... I think you have some time to rebuild with Harbaugh.

I see Harbaugh completely cleaning house with the Willaims, Mack, Bosa, and Allen... save $68M (puts you nearly $30M positive) and get whatever draft ammo you can get... build up the OL, WR, CB, DL positions (actually quite deep in this draft) and go from there.

Definitely the way to go. I think the one guy they could keep is Allen but saving $23M goes a long way if they want a true rebuild

The Chargers could go any route. If they do cut Keenan and Mike Williams, they will have a huge hole at WR. Johnston might have a future but has proven nothing at this point. Nabers makes too much sense if he is there.

Bowers only comes in 1" shorter than listed. 6'3" 243. Basically the same as Sam Laporta except with slightly longer arms. I feel the rest of his combine doesn't really matter because we've seen how he plays on the field.

I said it on my Bears board, but I'm not sure where Tip Reiman liess on the draft chart. My guess is somewhere around mid-late rounds. I'll say this much he sure brings some raw energy and strength to his game. I'd love to see our GM take a flier on him if he's available on day 3.

He's not going to be an inline TE anyway. Slot and outside will be big parts of his usage.

Bowers is going to profit off a pretty weak draft class (outside of QB/WR early on) for not only tight ends but just more important positions in general and the fact that both SBOWL teams had the two best tight ends in the game. Sanders should sneak into the 2nd round but I dunno if I see any of the rest of those guys going prior to round 4.

That said, you look at like Kyle Pitts and he really hasn't produced much although he's playing with a shit QB. I wouldn't be surprised if someone like Dallas tries to make a move on Bowers if he falls out of the top 10.
He won't fall out of top 10.
The rest look like shit.

Theo Johnson and Sinnot both have really high RAS scores. Athletic profile matters more with TE than almost any other position. Those guys are probably TE2 and TE3. Maybe in rd3.

Johnny Wilson the WR out of Florida State might also be a potential NFL TE.

If I were him, I'd stick to WR and force them to use me as a TE. Classification as a TE kills your pay scale.

I think most cringe at taking a TE in the top 7 and I agree especially when you see guys like Laporta and Kittle drafted outside of the 1st round and they are absolute beasts but whoever gets Bowers gets an incredible player. Pitts had some question marks and went top 7. Bowers really has no question marks. Maybe he could be a couple inches taller but he plays bigger regardless.
