I will say that I saw a video where the people from 'the Ringer' thinks its kinda crazy that Turner is mocked at 8 when he thinks that the top 2-3 CBs are better than any pass rusher in the class. I'm not sure if thats a common take or not but food for thought
The Falcons just need a pass rusher more than they need a corner

I think there is a very strong chance that Philly targets one of the top four on this list in this draft, now that they have traded Haason Reddick to the Jets because they didn't want to sign him to a new contract.

The Eagles have two second rounders and the 22nd overall selection, so I would expect Howie to make some moves into the teens at least.

In terms of the players, I suspect they covet Dallas Turner. They have a 'Bama fetish. But he may go top 10.

Oh, and I think Jared Verse is the #1 guy and will be first taken after he destroyed the combine, ran a 4.58 in the 40 and benched 225 pounds 31 times, more than all but one of the...defensive tackles.

I think Latu will be a monster in the NFL and there's very little 'work' he needs, he has a VERY high floor. Not amazing against the run but who cares (those guys can be had in later rounds and it's a passing league... I know Seattle sucked against the run but that's not hard to 'solve' - Carroll and Hurtt just went full derp) - he IMO has by far the best pass move skillset and pass rushing skills of this class and that's day 1 plug and play stuff.

Seattle is pretty set at EDGE but I'd be 100% fine letting Taylor go and bringing in Latu. Injury is a concern as that almost ended his career, but he could be a routine 10+ sack guy in the NFL.

I know Turner is getting the hype as the first EDGE off the board, but if both were there at 16... I'd take Latu. He's a day 1 plug him in starter... A rotation of Mafe/Nwosu and Latu all getting 66% of snaps (and if Hall develops mix that in) and resting between plays with Mac's schemes (box safety look) would be an absolute nightmare for offenses.

It sounds like teams have some concern about Latu's neck following his injury with Washington, so I suspect he is a late first rounder unless some team really feels confident he is medically cleared.

Oh 100%, he's a major risk for sure... doctors told him to basically not play... guy could literally be paralyzed on the field...

BUT, if he is cleared or teams want to take that risk, I think he's the best pass rusher in this draft.

I'd be happy with him to the Rams. They could go a lot of ways (Edge, DT, OT, etc).

He's been cleared for 2 years now. I don't see it as much of a risk at this point.

I am not sure how big a medical risk Latu really is. It's weird that doctors at UCLA seemingly had such a different response to his injury. He does seem like a great edge prospect to me if he clears those checks. I could see a team taking him higher if it was really confident in its medical evaluation and confident that UCLA and not Washington was correct.

I believe he had surgery between Washington and UCLA and that is why their are different medical evaluations.

I think the other issue is that all of his pass rush wins were against lesser competition and the better OL shut him down.

Isn't that more or less the same for every edge prospect?

Watching some McCarthy tape and Chop POPPED. Strength, speed, first guy moving. Wonder if he can fit a 3-4.

I think he is the most commonly mocked player to Tampa Bay and they run a 3-4 so the assumption is that he can.

I would've thought he was 3-4 only given his size and speed profile, but Parsons does play in a 4-3, so I guess he could fit either? He's basically a pretty raw version of Parsons IMO, although he is slightly bigger.
