From his catch rate going up, I guess from his perspective it can't get any worse.

Hes played 8 years, 1 year he had a fulll season(think this last year)...only 4 years over 10 games. 3 years with like 4 games or less. Granted the past two years have been 15/16 games... buy your asking for more trouble at that position imho.

Very true, they really need quality and not a reclaim. Would be curious, though, to see how Eifert would do, IF ever healthy and had a real QB.

They need a TE that can catch. And another TE that can block effectively. Neither of which they have right now.

2 VERY different positions IMO. I'm tired of them trying to force the pass-catcher to block. It hasn't worked for almost 2 decades. If you are going to scheme a TE to block in-line then that mother fucker needs to be viewed as a 3rd OT, and should be grouped with the OL during camp & practice.

But then again this really depends on whatever Canada's schemes need.

lolol. I guess its just how they are planning to retain him/pay him. Are the gonna tell him he has a shot to start, or is the guy? if so, the contract would likely be higher than we think, or short term, pending how he does, then he gets paid. Or does mason(and i think he does), think hes good enough to be the guy, and go elsewhere(doubt he gets anything besides a chance to compete elsewhere).......but yeah....If they truly believe what they've been saying, his contract may surprise many.
