If NY though, be careful. Divisional road games were the “bad team” hosts the average one often go down as upsets.

Taking NE is a bet on Belicek, but man their offensive talent is really lacking. All those years picking at the end of round 1 has caught up.

it is on the road, but it is also still my pick for a 'bad' team to win this week. Browns are still my top choice overall, but SP wanted a lesser option.

Broncos over Jags is the only other one I could think of, and it is also on the road. Not touching Colts vs Rams, Fins vs Bills, or Panthers vs Saints, even if they are home, also want nothing to do with Bears v Bengals - total coin flip like the Giants/Skins game TNF.

The afternoon slate has Bucs, but again, SP wanted to avoid slam dunks, and the rest all seem like they could go either way - SEA v TEN, MIN v ARZ, DAL v LAC, BAL v KC....heavy hitter and tough matchups

Packers at home MNF v Lions, but I didn't consider them a 'bad' team. So that brings me back to Patriots on the road, 1hr away from their home stadium, against a Jets team that struggled to move the ball vs Panthers D last week for the majority of the game.

i dont disagree with your logic for what Steelers is asking for... but i think he would rather take a bad team, as a loss just means buy back...

i think the perfect pick this week is the bengals for him... a team that he will likely never want to use again, and is slightly favoured

My personal view: i wouldnt hinge my hopes on either the Bears or Bengals.

Still sticking to my "just roll with the strong plays early" philosophy.

Thats the normal strategy i like too... but that is without buy backs... once you have buy backs it allows you to take bigger risks early... Where the worst case scenario is that you buy back..


Personally, this is why i dont like buy back leagues... takes away the risk of taking chances early on...

But i would definitely take a risk, whether its the bengals, the bears or whoever...

Just noticed this thread. I hate by backs. Imagine losing in the end to somebody who had lost already and bought back in..... I had The Texans in week one.

They all seem risky to me.

Why I would take a slam dunk play this week like the Browns or the Packers.

Great input from everyone. I actually went packers. Im not as high on them this year and sont love their late season value aside from the matchup with the lions again.

Packers might be pretty mediocre after watching the team that stomped them week 1 get stomped themselves.

But I do think they get Detroit

exactly. that is my thought. They will be good, but not great. They have a tough schedule, may not wanna use them again

I went Ravens but rethinking the pick after that KC game. Maybe they have an off week after a big win or maybe they destroy the Lions.

Another option was Arizona vs Jacksonville.
