I disagree, I still say it’s not close. He never lost, and he wasn’t a pussy trying to make player decisions or going to other teams. I still say purely on the court even though it’s not close. That is the eye test as much as anything, I saw them both.

There are 2 problems with MJ and Lebron comparisons.

1. They are completely different players. Lebron's game favors Magic far more than MJ.
2. The MJ would never have joined Magic or Bird argument is a bit played out. Free agency was a lot different back then than it is now. Players didn't have the freedom they do now. So, we really don't know what MJ or any other player from that era would have done. Additionally, the contract rules were different as well. For example, the Lakers gave Magic a 25 year contract. That couldn't happen today.

I also saw both players play. I saw MJ's entire career and all of Lebron's so far. I favor MJ. But it's definitely close and gets closer if Lebron gets his 5th title this year.

He was more beloved at the end of his career and when he retired. After the whole thing with Shaq, Kobe was blamed for Shaq leaving and was booed a lot in the first season after Shaq left. It took him the rest of his career and 2 more titles for him to reach the point he eventually did.

Oh KD is the biggest pussy in the history of the league. Great player but a pussy. Jordan is the goat and will be unless something I haven’t seen yet comes along. It’s all about closing out games to me and that is where Lebron pales in comparison.
