I would love to sign AB and get him on the field I think the risk reward is completely worth it. After the circus with the raiders and briefly with the patriots they departed ways with him and it really didnt impact their season. The raiders were still the raiders and the patriots still had a solid season. Best case we get a pro bowl WR worst case we cut him.

AB might come at a more expensive price tag than Gordon and Griffen. It would be a waste to cut him if he's still screwed up in the head and both Gordon and Griffen land else where.

Price is absolutely a factor in AB. If his agent insists on a big number he should be tested for being on Josh Gordon's stash.

What is the NFL regulation now on marijuana use? Are players allowed to smoke now? If not then i would honestly bet that AB would be the better option because there is no way at this point Gordon would survive an entire season anywhere if he has to submit to a drug test.

I think the NFL has become more relaxed with the use of Marijuana to go along with a few other rule changes this off-season. The question of Gordon is will he still get a susp when he comes back? AB will cost you some dollars and probably kill whatever chance you have at getting Griffen (I already think Clowney has moved on from us). I'm thinking Seattle wants Gordon back because he fit in well here and made plays but I also believe the FO is kicking the tires on AB since he's practicing with Russ.

They raised the allowed amount of THC from 35 nanograms to 150. Ok so what does that mean? Well if you smoke a single "joint" you will reach that 150 nanograms with in 6 minutes after smoking it but that starts to drop after a couple minutes reaching around 60 around 20 to 30 minutes later. So lets say a player smokes weed all day long and goes in for testing the next day. He should be below the 150 nanograms.

If someone can find more info on this i would greatly appreciate it. The things i have read though is that Ricky Williams wouldn't have ever got suspended had it been at 150 nanograms.

I don't know the NFL's procedure for drug testing, but I accepted a job offer back in November and had about a weeks notice to submit a drug test. I didn't know I'd need to take a drug test, and since the company headquarters is located in another state, I would've been disqualified for the position if I had tested positive.

I shit my pants because I had smoked weed nightly before bed to help go to sleep but I passed the urine test after drinking a fuck ton of water every day, ton of vitamins, not smoking marijuana and taking something recommended by a head shop.

There's definitely ways around it.

This may have been brought up and perhaps I've already floated the idea and forgot, but what do you guys think about possibly pursuing Logan Ryan? I haven't heard anything connecting the Seahawks to him, but he's a good player.

We really don't appear to have a solution to our slot situation on the roster assuming that Griffin and Dunbar will be our outside corners.

wow i would hate to be a late 5th round - UDFA rookie trying to make a team right now with ZERO preseason. Thats Brutal. Makes you wonder if more teams would hold on to more Young guys even though they had not seen them really play or if it's a complete 180 of that and we see less?

What a shame I always liked preseason games because I feel it is a solid way for coaches to see what they have on their roster. I know players do not care for them because they do not make any money from it and the owners basically charge the same in tickets and concessions so players view it as extra free labor. We will see how this goes with no warm up and just jump right into week 1 against the falcons

if there is zero preseason i feel this season will be a lost season. I just don't think the play on the field will be very good and the growth of young talent will be hindered. i see a lot of teams scooping up vets also if this happens to help that " learning curve".

Imagine not having a college football season how will scouts cover rookie players and who will be invited to the combine?

Adams at SS and Diggs at FS? not bad but I still feel Diggs is a little slow and small to play FS in our style Defense. You really need to be a 4.4 guy or if you are say 6 foot or more then a low 4.5 in the single high safety. Still a Safety group of Adams and Diggs would be a MASSIVE upgrade and you are talking closer to what the team use to have in Kam and Earl on the back end. Closer i said, not as good but thats expected as i don't think we will ever see a safety group as good as Earl and Kam on the Hawks.

Makes sense now that it's clear Dunbar and those idiots paid off the witnesses to change their stories.

now the rumor is it was a blackmail set-up against Dunbar and Baker! Wow what a mess. Ok the Rumor goes that this group of witnesses got together and made a plan to blackmail the two "Rich" NFL players. Called them in for the blackmail then waited a hour after they left and filed a false police report and thats why there is no proof of "lost" or "stolen" money or items.

My goodness what a mess. This is akin to females falsely saying they were r*pe to get money. The way the law is set up you have to prove your innocent against the witnesses saying you are not. This is going to be something ongoing for a long time. Also the Witnesses are pretty much all criminals with rap sheets as long as your arm.

Seahawks ‘Absolutely Pursuing’ Blockbuster Trade for Pro Bowler: Report

Seahawks ‘Absolutely Pursuing’ Trade for Jamal Adams: Report | Heavy.com

The Jets’ Asking Price Could Start at 2 Draft Picks Including a First-Round Selection

I don't think he gets moved without a 1st round pick unless players are involved in the trade. Especially from the rumored teams involved with the 49ers and Seahawks who would be projected to be drafting late in the 1st.

If he's going to be dealt it likely would be until training camp time or he might even be a trade deadline deal unless the Jets get an amazing offer for him now.

I'm leaning on him remaining a Jet though because the Jets don't want to trade him and if Gase is his main problem then Gase is probably gone if the Jets under perform again this season and you can try to convince him to stay under a new coach.

And if he still wants out you can tag him and trade him next offseason and probably still land a 1st rounder for him.

Straight line speed aside, I felt that Diggs played really well at FS for the Hawks. Personally I think that having a safety with 4.5 speed who can diagnose and react quickly to a play is better than a 4.4 safety who is a step slower to react to a play. There are countless safeties who ran in the 4.5s who have been incredibly successful (I think of Harrison Smith) because their reaction time compensates for their straight line speed.

One of the things that made Earl Thomas so special is that he could read and react to a play with the best of them and had that incredible speed.
