It's pretty strange how dominant we were in the 1st period compared to the 2nd and 3rd periods where it looked like we were just hanging on by a thread.

Then overtime starts and suddenly it's like we're in our element and the Isles, who have been coming at as for a long, long time, look timid. For whatever reason, we are spectacular in the 3 on 3, which has carried over from all of last season.

Hopefully Ghost can continue to make similar plays as he did to spring Laughton for the game winner. If he plays smart, quick, can move the puck up ice and get his laser of a shot off occasionally, he can be an effective defenseman.

Overall the league is seeing 26% of games going past regulation (As of Thursday) This is compared to 20% historically, a ..pretty big jump. No explanation offered.

Not sure who gets benched tonight..... Gotta believe TK back in the lineup.

I don't know who I'd bench but the message for the forwards is that they better play team D. I have to agree.

Nice to see Morin finally play but they could use him on D. I'm not sure how he could be that bad on D to move him to forward especially since they need dmen.

Everything I read about the TK benching was that he was not playing a 200 foot game. Message sent.

Would love to see some isolation video to see what the forwards are doing, with coach’s commentary on what they’re SUPPOSED to be doing.

One example I saw was where I think it was Sandhiem engaged a offensive forward on the side if the net. The forward on that side is supposed to come down for support, instead Myers came in for support and left the man in front open and they got scored on. First thing is there was zero support from that winger, secondly Myers can't leave the crease another bad decision but I believe AV is referring to the situations where the wingers aren't coming down to support the play in the defensive zone. It's the number one reason we don't skate the puck out enough. It's not the reason Gustafsson sucks and is a turnover machine though.

BTW, JvR has bounced back nicely so far this season. From the games I have watched, he's been doing better playing an all around game. Gotta give him props!
