Bacon WTH where have you been?

Happy New Year!!!!
As a matter of fact the hospital for 2 days lol. Sunday night as I was leaving the post office in Denver I got side swiped by another pick up truck and driven into a retaining wall. Ended up dislocating my shoulder and some good spinal bruising. To make matters worse, driver left the scene of the accident. Since I was working I get some workman's comp pay. So far 2020 was better than 2021.

Busy day today, but checking the tweets for practice updates. Sounds like the group was split NHL/not NHL today. Lines were more what you would expect. AV said after practice that lines would continue switching, but this looks like the first instinct from the coaching staff.

Lindblom-Couturier-Konecny
Giroux-Hayes-Farabee
JvR-Patrick-Voracek
Raffl-Laughton-NAK

Provorov-Ghost
Sanheim-Myers
Hagg-Gustafsson
Zamula-Braun

Major takeaways.

1. Ghost gets the first real crack with Provorov! Man oh man. IF they can rekindle the magic from 2017-18, look out NHL.

2. Hagg-Gustaffsson and Zamula-Braun look like two different 3rd pair options. Interesting that Zamula would be with Braun who is probably the most likely guy to be in the lineup of the 4.

3. Frost on the outside looking in.

I know its only our 4th line but i love that trio together.

Voracek on the third line must be a blow to his confidence

Hope it lights a fire --- Patrick should be motivated..... and then there's jvr. other than patrick that's an expensive 3rd line

I love that 4th line too. They'd be awful to play against.

The top 9 would be spread pretty evenly if that's what they decide to go with. Both in terms of high-end talent and high expense.

12.8M for Couts line
16.3M for Hayes line
16.1M for Patrick line

And at least IMO, I can see any one of those 3 being the best line on any given night and getting 1st line minutes

I think the biggest issue last year with lines was trying to build chemistry when players got hurt. Losing Oskar when we did really hurt on that front IMO.

Yep, definitely an issue. Probably one that will come up this year too, either through injury from a tough schedule grind, or from COVID related stuff

Yea I have a feeling that Covid is going to play a bigger factor in this season then injuries(I hope) don't want to see nobody injured. Don't want to see a start stop mentality to the covid issue either.

Agreed. Though the Flyers are pretty well positioned for it. If there were ever a season where depth was more important than high end talent, it would be this one.

Yea I agree, nice to have that much depth, I will not lie though, I'm worried about defensive injuries more this year lol. I wish we had a little better depth in this dept.

You are correct. Probably the most expensive 3rd line in the league

Defensive injuries would be really bad for our defensive chemistry.
