Ya, definitely a good start to his pro career. Really curious to see how he adjusts when the league adjusts to him. 5'7 165 is TINY haha.

Edit: I had forgotten the Flyers took York 1 pick ahead of Caufield.
We have our own tiny player. Bobby Brink 5'8" 163. Caufield is much better than Brink offensively.

Not sure if Wilson is playing tonight, but if he is, dress 7 dmen and let Morin earn his stripes.
I have to assume Wilson will be on his best behavior so he doesn't get suspended for the playoffs.

He's good for ratings though. I'm sure that played into it. With a Rangers/Caps rematch on NBCSN as their next game, from that perspective the lack of suspension makes total sense.
Maybe so (but that doesn't excuse it), and it's one thing to target a star player with a monster hit during play, but he's fucking garbage for jumping Panarin and ragdolling him around the ice after the whistle. Am I mistaken!? Panarin is a small, elite skill player that is far from a fighter and Wilson is a cowardly pussy for targeting him. The same goes for punching Buchnevich in the head while he's prone and defenseless on the ice.

Furthermore, I was at the time completely shocked that the Rags didn't show any balls until the next game, which did probably heavily factor into the departure of Gorton and Davidson.

How the fuck are you going to let Wilson (or anyone) mop the floor with your one, true star player and do nothing about it immediately!?

Allison’s shot on his first goal. Yes please, may we have another.

Oh ya, don’t get me wrong. I’m not defending Wilson or DOPS decision not to suspend him. He absolutely should’ve been suspended. And it was absolutely a bitch move.

That being said. I’d take him on the Flyers. Teams have to have a game plan to handle him. And if they’re spending time game planning around his physicality, they’re not game planning on how to beat the Flyers. Plus he’s legitimately good at hockey.

He’s an asshole and I’d rather him be out of the league. But if he’s gunna be in it, I’d rather him be on the flyers. Suspensions and all.

WOW. It is really amazing how a relaxed smooth skating defenseman can settle down a pairing and make all the others look a little better (or worse depending on the play). York looked really good. Really smooth. Really smart. Kept it simple, didn't try to force anything.
Allison's two goals...what can you say? Ladies and Gentlemen...I think he may be okay.

Don't want to get on that band wagon too fast and furious, but it is nice to see these kids doing well. Gives hope for next season. Subtle reminder, they are playing down in the lineup because of Cooter, G et al. That is helping them since they can get favorable match ups.

Torts is out of Columbus. I would certainly think about hiring him as an assistant to help our defense. Get rid of the other two. I know it won't happen, but seeing a greatly improved defense would be nice.

I’d be happy with a middle of the road defense at this point.

Torts & Tocchet. Hmmmm, wonder who else might be kicking around as the week moves on. Who do you think the Kraken will hire?

This is shaping up to be an interesting off season.

With his ego i highly doubt he is looking to become an assistant coach.

Mm. I really don't like Torts. I hope he doesn't join the Flyers in any capacity. He's just as likely to ruin good players as he is to elevate them IMO.

Holds guys accountable, sure. But is it worth the risk of turning guys like Laine into scrubs?

Mall you have been mentioning on this board for two years that we should trade for Sam Reinhart and he is now finished the season with 25 goals and we dont have anyone in the 20s.

Sometime i just hate AV.

Friday night we are winning 3-2 in a game that doesnt matter and Washington pulls the goalie with a minute and change left no Allison on the ice who has two goals already. A faceoff comes with like 47 seconds to go and he still doesnt put Allison on to go for the hat trick.

Cmonv man smarten up!!
