Looks like Elliot goes tonight and Hart spends the week practicing. Lyon backs up tonight and AV said Lyon or Elliot will start on Wednesday. Then the Flyers have Thursday/Friday off before the Isles on Saturday. So, that will be at least 9 days without a game for Hart. Hopefully it's a good opportunity to reset a little bit and work on his game.

Twitter suggesting the Flyers wanted to do this sooner, but couldn't because of the schedule and lack of game action for Lyon in the past year. Now that he's got a few games under his belt with the Phantoms, he can back up Elliot and even get a spot start to give old-man Elliot a break too.

Ellis, Klingberg, and Hamilton (if he gets to FA) seem to be the names linked to the Flyers as far as difference making top pair guys go. Ekholm doesn't seem to be the Flyers main target. My guess is because of how much it will take to acquire one of these guys, including what it does to the expansion draft. I think they want someone signed for a longer term. I also think they're pretty wedded to the idea of it being a RH guy.
Ellis is signed long term at a favorable price. He's a fine choice, but we would have to protect him and he is already into his 30's, for what it's worth.

Klingberg has one season left at a great price, but we'd have to protect him and unless he signed an extension, he could walk away after next season. I'd also be worried that he's perhaps a bit one-dimensional. He'll probably want a huge pile of money with his next deal too.

Hamilton would be an amazing signing or acquisition. He's slated to be an UFA as you point out, so we theoretically wouldn't have to make a trade. He's going to want massive dollars, but he's also going to be worth every penny. Huge guy that can pretty much do it all and only just turning 28 this summer.

Im glad hart is getting time to practice. He really needs to get his postioning back and work on if a goal goes in its not the end of the world

Im trying to figure out why the team was so happy after Morin scored and got celebrated like he was Gretsky:

A- We were happy to beat the Rags after getting killed.
B-The team is looking for a big strong leader
C-Morins first goal ever.
D-Just happy to get any win at this point

They were playing team on man over there. And still lost the puck battle :(
Truly amazing. All five of our players on one side of the ice. The only time that should ever happen is during a line change when the puck is nowhere near our zone.

Just read a funny stat that if you bet $100 on NJ back on 2/25 and then kept putting your winnings on the Sabres opponent each night, you'd be up to $74,961.

The Flyers are definitely going to lose tonight. When there's an opportunity to look like a joke, the Flyers have been all over it this year.
Yup.

There isn’t even anything else to say at this point. It’s so damn depressing.

Lol. I was afraid it was very possible that the Flyers could make headlines for being the victim of the Sabres 17 game losing streak being snapped. Sadly, I'm not at all surprised. And keep in mind that a few of these guys were playing in Rochester a few weeks ago.

Do you think we are tanking?

This game, more than any other to date, brings that question to mind. The Sabres are next level bad, there is literally no excuse for this shit.

That's an interesting point. I never thought that would even be even possible with this team and coaching staff.

Its definitely not sanctioned by the GM and coach. But that sure as hell looks like what’s happening.

Can't wait til the season ends and they clear out all this bad Juju that is the on ice leadership. I know 4 wannabe superstars that need to go ASAP! Fuck if you can pull the rug out from under Richard's and Carter, you sure as hell shouldn't have any issue sending Giroux on his merry way.

This team has major issues. Obviously. But another W that the veteran players carry them to. It’s the only type of win they’re getting this year.

Ugh! I don't even feel good about this win. Can you imagine being a team so bad and blowing a 3-0 lead halfway through the final period and to lose in OT? How awful must you feel to be a Sabre fan? I thought for sure we were looking to lose this game.

That was a beautiful comeback win, but imagine if we had played the entire game the way we did in the 3rd and brief OT. It would've been an absolute blowout in our favor. The Sabres are just fucking terrible. We wake up to play about 21 minutes of roughly a 61 minute game and still beat them 4-3.
