Since the womens soccer (and womens sports in general) haters have had their say.....and because first US game is today....how about a thread?
Because.....USA USA and all that.
I did not read up too much leading through qualifying (for a national soccer team fan the Women's game just has us spoiled)....but here is a pretty good read on the overall team:

I think the attacking and offensive half of the field could be utterly stellar. Having Dunn and O'Hara to go forward could create some interesting attacks too. I do think the center midfielders will need to try to stay back (at least come knockout rounds) and that could be a tough discipline for them.
Biggest gap in the team is center D and Goalie in my view. If opposition can get up the middle on attacks (especially on counters) and the center Mids are not back to help there could be a chance to torch us.
If we make knockouts I think there will be at least one game where we need to put up 3-4 just to win.
