Yeah, it's not like I have choice. Lol

Seriously though, I was good with watching the kids learn and develop, but when a team has a chance at a player like Lebron, they kind of have to take him.

It's definitely nice being considered a contender again.

No it's not nice that the purple 'n gold are contenders again. Stop saying that! Thank you.

I disagree here.
You’re telling me player 5 drafted has a much higher chance of success then
6-10?
18-19 year olds can be totally different a few years down the road if you consider all the intangibles.

Kobe sucked basically as a rookie.

You miss the point. Love was NOT traded for low draft picks. Wiggins was a #1 overall pick that hadn't played in the NBA yet but you choose to ignore that. You choose to focus on Bennett because it fits your narrative. Even Bennett was a former #1 overall pick in his infancy so there was still hope for potential there.

Bennett is on Houston?

I already gave you better players than Gallinari to trade.

The whole clippers trade is inconsequential anyway because they should have waited for better offers. OKC has a bad front office, that's why they didn't wait and that's why they trade CP3.

Bennett signed a non guaranteed contract this summer so yes.

Bennett was awful and anyone who saw him play knew it. To say otherwise is foolish.

Kobe sucked basically as a rookie.

And that's how I kinda remember his entire career. A snot-nosed rookie who wasn't a starter (LeBron waz!). I leave out all that middle crap where Shaq carried his sorry ass to 3 rings & then stoled at least 1 of those next 2 (if not both) & fast forward to his last couple of years where he was broken da fuck down.

Yes, IMO that's the biggest value of the picks, to try and leverage them in a deal with another stupid franchise.
Here's a flash......not often teams expected to pick high trade those picks. and when they do they are heavily protected.

You keep repeating that, but never addressed the question when I asked you.
If the Cavs improve 8 games per season, next 3 seasons, which they prob wont, then where are they?
24+19=43, which puts you where?

So, what is your plan for path to where?

Give me a full season of meaningful games and a playoff run every day of the week vs whatever you think might happen.
Says a guy whose only teams with a shot at a title was acquired by sucking and getting a top 5 pick.

Or the Lakers can sign James and trade for AD. And sign guys like Bradley, Green, and Cousins.

BOOM.
Yep.....after tanking. Thanks for playing again.

Oh, and the Cavs also tanked and signed Lebron and traded for Love (Lakers adopted Cavs' model?). If Lakers are lucky, they can have similar results.....though after 7 years and not 4.
