Taco Bell is for broke-ass college kids who can't afford actual, tastier, healthier Mexican food from an actual Mexican place.

It tastes good to me and i am rich AF!

Mexican food is not very expensive no matter where you go...5 star mexican (if they have that) food is not like a 5 star steak house lol

Are you fucking kidding?

A washed up Stephon Marbury became a fucking icon when he helped a Chinese team win a title.

Yeah, but nobody in America plus all their hood friends etc don't know that or care. They want to be famous here, not there.

You are still the only one to take my bet.

So, I will let you set the terms.

VCash?

Avatar?

Best record, who goes the furthest, hallway series?

You pick.

Just...no conditions on health, load management, trades.

We both have a lot riding on guys with recent, or thorough, injury histories.

No excuses.

You do realize expectations levels are different right? Teams are not drafting someone at pick 20 looking for him to be an all star and change their franchise. If he can be a solid player then it is a success. Top 5 picks for the most part are expected to be that in some way. Top 5 picks ended up as a role player is a huge failure.

Often the top 5, that do become the all
stars, are ready too or have switched from the team that drafted them.

Pretty harsh for a fan of a team synonymous with losing. If they make their first Finals ever that's a failure?
Yep.

It's a step in the right direction.

But, yes....

This will be their best chance...probably EVER.

Warriors are at 50%, Philly is young, Freak still doesn't have a jumper and the Bucks lost Brogodon.

The Lakers aren't better.

Close.

But, not better on paper.

Next year, if KD is healthy, Brooklyn is going to be the new power team...Imo

Win this year, or probably not in my lifetime.

Lets go back to the LeBron draft- which is bascially the "new modern" NBA---- you had the early days with like 12 teams, the dark ages where it was on tape delay--- the Bird and Magic Reniassance, and the Jordan- Shaq years.

2003: Lebron 1, Melo 3, Bosh 4, Wade 5, Kaman 6, West 18, Josh Howard 29, Mo Williams 47, Kyle Korver 51: High level all stars- (4)- they are obvious

2004: Howard 1, Devin Harris 5, Deng 7, Iguadala 9, Jameer Nelson 20: High Level All Stars: Howard and Iggy

2005: Deron Will 3, CP3 4, Bynum 10, Granger 17, Lee 30: High Level All Stars: prob. 2- DWill and CP3

2006: Aldridge 2, Roy 6, Rondo 21, Lowry 24, Milsap 47: High Level All Stars: I dunno- very debatable- id say Aldridge---- Lowry/Milsap/Rondo and even Roy have plusses and minusses

2007: Durant 2, Horford 3, Noah 9, Gasol 48: High Level All Stars- at least Durant--- maybe Horford and Gasol

2008: Rose 1, RW 4, Love 5, Brook Lopez 10, Hibbert 17, DeAndre Jordan 35, Dragic 45, : High level All stars: Rose, RW, Love

2009: Griffin 1, Harden 3, Curry 7, DeRozan 9, Holliday 17, Teague 19: HLA: Griffin, Harden, Curry---- maybe DeRozan?

2010: Wall 1, Cousins 5, Hayward 9, Paul George 10, : HLA : Wall, George--Hayward and cousins debatable

2011: KI 1, Kemba 9, Klay 11, Kawhi 15, Vucevic 16, Butler 30, IT 60: HLA: Irving, Kemba, Klay, Kawhi, Butler

2012: AD 1, Beal 3, Lillard 6, Drummond 9, Green 35, Middleton 39, : HLA: AD, Beal, Lillard, Green

2013: Oladipo 2, Giannis 15, Gobert 27, : HLA: Giannis, Oladipo, Gobert

2014: Embiid 3, Jokic 41, : HLA Jokic and Embiid

2015: Towns 1, Russel 2, Porzingis 4, : HLA: Towns, maybe Porzingis

After that its probably too early to evaluate fairly.

so--- this is the "raw data".

How many "franchise players were taken from 2003 to 2015?

I would say: Lebron 1, Melo 3, Bosh 4, Wade 5, Howard 1, Iguadala 9, DWill 3, CP3 4, Aldridge 2, Durant 2, Rose 1, RW 4, Love 5, Griffin 1, Harden 3, Curry 7, Wall 1, George 10, Kyrie 1, Kemba 9, Klay 11, Kawhi 15, Butler 30, AD 1, Beal 3, Lillard 6, Green 35, Oladipo 2, Giannis 15, Gobert 27, Embiid 3, Jokic 41, Towns 1, Porzingis 4,

that is 34 guys.

Out of those 34 guys how many were top 5 picks? 22

Out of those 34 guys how many were top 10 picks? 26

Out of those 34 how many guys were picked after the top 10? 8

I mean- expectation levels--- that is making my EXACT point for me--- you dont EXPECT to get a great player outside of the top 5--- ya know why? because its exceedingly rare....i totally agree- it is a bitch when a top 5 guy doesnt work out--- because you EXPECT those picks to work out--- why? Because typically the best players go there, lol

i mean yo uare making my point for me.

I disagree here.
You’re telling me player 5 drafted has a much higher chance of success then
6-10?
18-19 year olds can be totally different a few years down the road if you consider all the intangibles.

So-- from 2003 to 2015, there were a total of 13 drafts......55 picks per draft outside of the 5 --- 13x 55 = 715 picks.

Out of those 715 picks, I think you could say 12 went on to become high level all stars--- about 1.7%

Conversely, from 2003 to 2015 there were 13 drafts--- 5x 13 = 65 top 5 picks. 22 of those 65 went on to become high level all stars = about 34%.

How would the list be if you started the list from player 5 drafted down?

Plus, the league just lessoned the chances of the worst teams to get top pick, as we saw with Pelicans moving up.
