I was being kinda fair lol...

it comes down to what we need more and I was thinking defense...

imo we have enough shooters. no need to go crazy with it...
don't disagree you might need D more and if Liv was a good defender he might be the better option. But he's not.

Wasn't a fan of the Rondo signing but they got him for the minimum. I would play Cook and possibly Caruso over him, don't know a ton about Caruso though.

Caruso is solid. Imo, he's never going to be a starter, let alone an all star caliber player. But he's a good passer and can shoot a bit. But if he's being relied on as more than a spot starter, the Lakers are probably in trouble.

yeah, I guess you guys have got me because it's really a matter of miniscule minutes either way we'd go between the 2...

so i'll say it's not worth splitting hairs over...

Yeah, it's really not. When you get to the 14th and 15th roster spot, you're not talking about difference makers.

Heck, the Lakers could sign me for the 14th or 15th spot and it won't effect their season. lol

Don't think they get him, but if they do would think Lebron had some influence. If that's the case, Korver will be in the rotation.

Using career stats to prove the best/worst NBA draft picks, ever

@WiggyRuss
Pretty interesting if you want to invest 20 minutes to look over the charts.

In the 20 years represented here, only 4 of the #1's would redraft at 1, and only 1 of the 20 is listed at 2.

So, over that 20 year span which included locks like LeBron and Shaq, 75% fell to 3 or lower and I think 7 of the 20 fell below 10.

The Clippers gave up way to much for only 2 years and then a player option

Yeah but if they win a ship in those 2-3 years he could resign...if all things go well. He will be still only 32, lock him up another 3-4 years.

The championship is really the goal, so if they don't win one we can definitely go back and look at this trade and see how it faired especially with all those picks.

still think KK can be more than an end-of-the-bench guy. And we know he plays well with Lebron.....but I think he goes to Philly.
He'd have more of an impact there after they lost Redick. I think he knows that too.

Disagree.

The Clippers HAD to get this done. It's arguably the only shot they've really ever had at making a dent in the Lakers hold on LA.

If they had let Kawhi go to the Lakers or even re-sign in Toronto, they may as well have moved to Seattle for all of the attention they'd get in LA. lol

If PG and/or Kawhi get hurt, it would suck for them, but at least they've shown that they can land big time FA's. If they hadn't pulled off what they did, they'd probably be back to never even getting meetings again.

Plus, if memory serves, the 2+1 sets him up for a huge payday in a couple of seasons.

It also syncs up well with the end of the 2 year contracts that the Lakers have signed guys to and the end of Lebron's contract so the Lakers can steal him. :D

Probably does. I think it comes down to his relationship with Lebron and how much he enjoyed playing with him.......also if Lebron is recruiting him to join him again.
