Might be better off vs overpaying Green

Mavs probably better off but this could cost Green (which I heard who Kawhi is close) in getting a great contract with a team.

If Green continue to wait on Kawhi, the less teams there are to bid for Green.
This could be a mute point if Green just want to sign where Kawhi signs.

If the Pelicans and Hawks want to move on...it could make the Lakers drop out of the Kawhi sweepstakes. Might be for the best, great player but injury prone--could only get worse.

Offer a nice contract to Green or get Boogie. Trade for Dragic and move on. Green might end up moving on soon anyway, it's getting to the point a player he won a championship is wanting to move on bc it's hurting his market.

It is a bid deal because Pelicans or any other team not hoping to get him doesnt have to agree to wait on the deals they have in place.

I meant to us...to the teams involved it's huge. If this decision is really that tough the decision might be made for him or he will be down to two teams. Clippers and Raptors. He better decide early tomorrow.

How legit is this guy?

That's NFL Hall of Famer Cris Carter. He mostly knows jack shit about anything outside of the NFL but he's supposedly friends with Kawhi's uncle/advisor or people within Kawhi's close circle. So he knows some stuff here, but how much is up for debate. He's never given anything concrete, but in broad strokes what he's been saying about him is accurate.
