I mean rumors say they like Culver and Hunter, they could get both, trio of PG - Sexton, SG - Culver, SF - Hunter.
I just think the Love rumors have been going on for so long and the Cavs continue to say we are not trading him. He isn't going anywhere. He loves CLE and CLE loves him. If he stays healthy he can thrive in this great offensive scheme of Beilein.
I wouldn't buy rumors of who the cavs like as they wouldn't let it out, but agree if they do love a couple guys the deal is intriguing.

would think among Garland, Culver and Hunter (or Barrett slips), but who knows?

per shams - Utah sending a package of players including forwards Jae Crowder and Kyle Korver, along with draft picks, to Memphis, league sources said.

Garland doesn't make sense imo. An undersized 2, Sexton is too...that's just me but after that there are really only 3 guys I think they would take that fits their system so really has nothing to do with rumors.

Reddish, Culver or Hunter. Depending on who goes at 4 (could be Garland or Culver most likely). You have 4 players to basically choose from: Culver, Hunter, Reddish or Garland (one from that list will be gone), unless they just trade back with ATL.

Grizzlies Agree to Send Mike Conley to Jazz

Figure he would land on the Jazz.

Memphis has traded guard Mike Conley to the Utah Jazz for Grayson Allen, Kyle Korver and Jae Crowder, the 23rd pick in Thursday's Draft and a future first-round pick, league sources tell ESPN.

That is a perfect fit for Conley. Huge pickup for the Jazz. They need to add some guys in the paint though, they are going to lose Favors.

Chris Herrington of The Daily Memphian provides the full details on those protections, tweeting that the Grizzlies will get the pick in 2020 or 2021 if it falls in the 8-14 range. If it doesn’t convey in either of those drafts, it would become top-six protected in 2022, top-three protected in 2023, and top-one protected in 2024.

Not to mention, I can't see NO doing that.

They aren't good enough to add a player like Love and expect it to make a big difference.

A Love trade only makes sense for a contender.

Seems like a really good deal for both teams. The Grizz clear the way for Morant, get some decent mid level talent and a couple of picks in return.

Jazz get a highly quality PG, assuming he can actually stay healthy.

That is a really good return for Conley.

He only has 1 year on his deal, right?

What is the good return, the picks? Grayson Allen is a punk. Korver and Crowder have value, but not necessarily to a rebuilding team (at least not Korver anyway).

2020-2021 - $34,502,130
  • 2020 Early Termination
  • 2020 $22,426,383 guaranteed, becomes fully guaranteed if plays 55 games in 2018-19 or 2019-20 (@EricPincus) [Triggered now fully guaranteed, 2/9/19]
So it looks like he has 19-20 and 20-21, $22M of the $34M is guaranteed.

Future pick and the 23rd, not bad. Allen hasn't done much has he? Crowder and Korver could help with that 20 win team haha.

BUT they drop that contract for the next two years, a big win there.

I think that note means he's now fully guaranteed for 2020 due to a games-played clause.

Conley is not worth his contract.

Getting anything in return is a good deal for Memphis.

They got a cheap veteran role player and a late first.

That is a good return.

Ahh was wondering that so either way 2 more years, now fully guaranteed. Hopefully this move works out for the Jazz. They need to make that next step

Looks like with all the protections (and assuming the Jazz now are a playoff team for the next 2 years), that second pick will be in 2022 (top 6 protected).
