Considering the cost...I'm okay with it as well. The points system has been explained, but I know it's now in stone...I thought moving into the top 10 would cost more.

For, 20, 52 and a 2020 3rd pick...I'm all in.
What was the draft value/point system in this trade?

Drafttek:
#10 - 1300

#20 - 850
#52 - 380
2020 3rd - ~130-150 (high end for playoff teams) assuming they make the playoffs.

Denver received 1360-1380pts, Steelers 1300...

Really close to square value trade. And considering the Steelers achieved a top 10 pick makes this look even better for them. More & more this looks like Denver wanted to trade back.

Also worth noting... Their high 3rd they got from Oakland (via Antonio Bryant) is only 14 spots behind where they would have drafted in the 2nd round.

All they gave up was 14 spots to get a top 10 pick.

Let that sink in

@SteelersPride @ATL96Steeler @Superbelt @steelparrot @Maximus Rex @Bridgeburner

Steelers got a steal of a trade.

Exactly thats why they were willing to pull the trigger. Also the pick next year, if they have a good season will be closer to a 4th round value.

Yes, the value was sure there, wasn't it? Now we just gotta hope Devin's performance on the field is better than his choice in outfits...

"He's a little small and wasn't as fast or quick at the combine as expected, so Day 3 in the draft is his likely landing spot as a WR3/WR4 talent."

Love the draft so far. Justin Layne I thought was a borderline first round talent.

My expertise at evaluating WR is on display so far. My #1 guy (Butler) and #2 guy (Boykin) are both falling waaaay down.

Butler & Harry were my main WRs. Shocked Butler is still there. He & Boykin should go quick in the 4th.

Justin Layne:

Pittsburgh Steelers: Justin Layne, CB, Michigan State A+ Grade
Layne got some late first-round buzz at some point, but was expected to be chosen in the second frame. Layne is an excellent cornerback with terrific ball skills. He's an absolute steal for the Steelers, who needed someone like Layne to upgrade their poor secondary.

Should start playing some excellent football right after week 1 game!

Bridge, I think we're all just gonna start calling you "Limas" now, so you might as well go ahead and just switch your user name and get it over with.... :heh:
