BTW...that was probably the best scenario for tonight.

I'm good with it. I know Face and Atl weren't thrilled with that prospect, but better than some third round corner (i.e. Burns) in my book.
I’m happy with it considering all they gave up was a 2nd. And as SP said, getting a top 10 pick & only giving that up is huge.

Best case is Bush & Barron take on the Mack & big Dime S. Don’t care who plays where so long as both are on the field.

The last player we traded this many slots up to get(and biggest move ever up 11) 27 to number 16(a smaller jump in terms of value) but it was this guy:

This worries me. A lot.

Because I like it. And I don't know if you guys all remember or not but... I'm kinda terrible at this. I didn't have White above Bush. I thought they were a pick-em. 1A and 1B. At least regardless of scheme fit that's how I had them ranked. The drop off was pretty considerable after Bush/White too.

The second this year and third next year is a high price but we can get another backup QB project and/or undersized gadget player as UDFA to make up for it.

It's not what I wanted to see happen, at all. But it is what it is. I hope Mr. Bush succeeds, and proves I'm wrong that he wasn't worth a trade-up like that.

Don't go to sleep tonight because they have no 2nd rounder.

Wouldn't be entirely surprised to see them trade up into R2 (with their high 3 from Oak) for a DB.

If Tomlin is really in love with Ya-Sin...

That.. or maybe Adderly, Julian Love, Murphy is still there too. Even Winovich. They have so many picks, and still have ammo to burn.

Considering the cost...I'm okay with it as well. The points system has been explained, but I know it's now in stone...I thought moving into the top 10 would cost more.

For, 20, 52 and a 2020 3rd pick...I'm all in.

I kinda felt the same way initially...my thinking was not so much that Bush wasn't worth it...I thought the price would be too high for a LB...but the picks surrendered were considerably less than what I was thinking.

I'm a lot more on board with the pick now than I was yesterday.

Yeah, the trade certainly didn't conform to the value chart.

It was a good trade for how many positions they moved up.

LOL...one of the bolder moves the Steelers have ever pulled off imo.

I thought White was maybe a notch above Bush, but not enough to be a 5th overall pick. But...teams typically try to balance the best talent with a need these days

I really like the move. I liked it at first glance and I like it even more now.

Well I like it a lot more now for sure...I didn't hear the specifics on the trade until this morning.

Now I'm curious to see how they use Barron and Bush...Does Barron move to the 3rd S role? Or does VWill become a 2 down LB.

Looking ahead in the draft.

We know the CBs will starting flying off the board tonight along with the safeties that didn't go last night.

Some names to look at for 66.

Justin Layne, CB... MICH St.

Sean Bunting, CB... C. MICH.

Miles Boykins, WR...ND

Ben Banogu, OLB...TCU

Charles Omenihu, OLB, TX

Most of these guys had official visits or PIT showed interests with strong (Colbert and Tomlin) at their pro day.

lol...I think with these two 3rd round picks they will have some pretty good options....the way the board went last night pushed several 1st round guys to the second and maybe beyond.
