With kid helping Lonzo, I like the hire.
He's been helping him some already and it doesn't look like its helping much. Plus, its not like he did anything with Michael Carter Williams, a player that's similar to Lonzo skillwise. So if helping Lonzo is a selling point the Lakers are trying to make, its not a great one.
Hiring Vogel and insisting on Kidd being on the staff, the Lakers are essentially holding a lighter in one hand and an open container of gasoline. They are just begging for problems and dissension. If they liked Kidd so much, they just should have hired Kidd to be HC. But apparently they want their coaching staff to match their front office decision process by having too many voices in the room all with different agendas
