Chicago is interested in trading the 7th pick for Ball....
Well it's good to see someone in the Bulls organization is taking their stupid pills. If this happens the Lakers should make the trade & laugh.

And then we trade Ingram, Kuz and the 4th and 7th picks for a certain star that wants out of his present situation.
Like I've been saying all season long the Lakers will have a completely different roster by the time next season tips off. And anyone that thinks they won't get what they're looking for is fooling themselves.
Yep.
Like @trojanfan12 said in another thread, we have fucked up on certain things since getting LeBron.....but we have a summer to correct things.....and I think we will.....
To be fair, while Pelinka shouldn't have been talking without first bringing his concerns to Magic. The fact is, Magic wasn't working hard. He wasn't there everyday and he wasn't scouting or doing the "grunt work" that is necessary for a PBO.
He said as much himself when he quit.
Magic was Pelinka's boss. If he didn't like what he was doing, he should have fired him.
The more likely plan B scenario to happen, if we trade anything or anyone, is the Bradley Beal deal that appears to be gaining traction. It will probably involve Ingram, Hart, and some draft picks. I don't think the Lakers want to part with Kuz on this one.
Another guy who the Lakers are eyeing is Utah Center Derrick Favors. The Lakers are waiting to see if Utah picks-up his option. If they don't, expect the Lakers to sign him as a FA.
The problem was, Jeannie hired Rob because of Kobe. She would not have let Magic fire Rob. IMO
I agree. He should not have taken the job. It soulds fishy that Jeannie signed off on him telling her he was not giving it 100% attention. I don't want him involved with free agents. Magic, please stick to your other businesses.I think that if Magic would have insisted, she'd have relented.
Also, while I don't necessarily think he's lying...I also think that there is some CYA/revisionist history by Magic.
He's been taking a lot of heat over how he left and how he was basically approaching it as a part time gig. Not to mention that he says himself that he told Jeanie that he had his other things too. I remember there being questions about how much time he would be able to commit because of those other businesses, etc.
Easiest way to provide cover for himself...put the blame on someone that he doesn't really have a relationship with.
Jeanie's mistake was hiring Magic, especially if he told her going in that he couldn't focus his full attention on the job.
Magic's mistake was accepting the job, knowing that he couldn't give it his full attention.
While everyone blasted me a little when I suggested Kobe...one thing I can say is that I don't think he would take the job unless he could devote his full attention to it.
