To be honest Las subban not coming here is a blessing in disguise. His play has dropped off and his shenanigans have worn out their welcome over time. If he were cheap that would be a different story but not at 9 M. Preds were a good team and where did he take them...
This could be true but IMO we are a better hockey team with a better shot at going deep into the playoffs with PK Subban on our defense instead of Nisky and Braun.

How many games are we realistically looking for Elliott to play this season barring any injury to Hart?

Our schedule is crazy!

We go from 1 game in Prague to 1 game at home then right out to a Canadian west coast trip for 5 games. That is nuts!

I've been thinking about this schedule quite a bit. No question it's a shot schedule to start the season. However, in my opinion I take a couple of positives out of this.
1. It makes our schedule at the end easier more than likely, and
2. Starting a lengthy road trip in the beginning can help build team chemistry early on in my opinion.

They way we have started off the season and put ourselves out almost immediately for the past 5 or 6 seasons it would've been nice to have an easy schedule to start. We are notoriously bad season starters but we do have a new coach so we will see.

Coots is a good all around player, without Gudas around to injure him this year I'm hoping he picks up where he left off in the 2nd half of the season last year.
Dont forget Gudas now plays for the Caps and he will be taking runs at Couts for real now.

True but I don't think it likely that Gudas plays to much against top lines. Who knows he may not even crack their rooster this year lol.
