Okay here we go and fingers crossed for success for this team going forward. Hoping Hart proves to be the rock we've been waiting for. @awaz can sticky this if it's acceptable.

Alright here's one for you guys.. Kadri for Gostisbehere. Both had kinda down years. Both are signed around 4.5M for a few more years. Basically moving D for C.

I think I would consider that one. Kadri would be a pretty good 2C option, had 30+ goals in 16-17 and 17-18. Plays PP and PK.

Leafs are loaded up front but need D-men and need them to be on good contracts.

Well, I think Sanheim can play PP1. When the Flyers had that month or so stretch where PP2 was scoring goals, it was because Sanheim was QB'ing and orchestrating the entries. I also think Myers is going to be a good PP guy at some point. And Provorov I would say is 'fine' on the PP. That's where you would miss Ghost the most.

Plus, the more I read and the more I think about it, I think Fletcher wants Karlsson. Doesn't mean it will happen, I still think he re-signs in SJ. But Fletcher always mentions 'veteran Dman' and 'good defensive teams are good defensively because they're playing offense all game' when talking about what needs to happen for next year. That's a description of Erik Karlsson to me.

Don't get me wrong, i'm definitely not on the 'trade Ghost' bandwagon. I think he's extremely valuable and one of the guys that will outplay his contract 9 times out of 10. Kadri is just one of the few names that might actually make sense.

I think Karllson only resigns if the Sharks reach the finals or win it all. I think we can out bid the Sharks. Is Karllson the only/best option availible this off season?

I dont like this as we would be basically be trading one of our top pair Dmen for a 2nd line center. If we were going to trade ghost id like to package him with Radcliff and our number 11 pick and one of our third rounders for the number three pick. We may have to add another pick/player to move up that high but you get my drift.

I'd rather get more proven talent that's ready to help now. Or at least the latter. Mostly looks like Podkolzin is the expected #3 pick, or at least the 3rd best player, and people say he'll probably play at least 1-2 more years in Russia before coming over. Is it worth the wait / worth taking the 4th best guy so he plays sooner?

If they can get to #1 or #2 and get Hughes or Kaako, I'd be more interested in trading way up. I think those two make an NHL impact next year. I doubt the Devils or Rangers are interested in doing that though.

Yep, bar-down one is a little out of date. Schmidt and Ellis re-signed already.

I'd be interested in Trouba also, but he's going to get a big contract. Stalman or Edler could be decent veterans on decent contracts. I think Gardiner and Ghost are pretty similar.

I just think the Flyers have more depth in the 'offensive defensemen' category than they do in centers. If there's a good 2C (> .7ppg potential), under 30, on a good contract (<6.5M / >2 years), I would consider moving Ghost for him.

If we add Jake to my previous offer we could probably get the number 2 pick.

Too rich for my blood. I don't think the 2019-20 Flyers are better with Kaako than they would be with Voracek and Ghost.

Maybe but we will have added 12 more million to our cap space to add a Karlsson and Panarin as well as pay our RFAs and still have plenty of cap space.

So we lose Jake and Ghost off of the current team and add Karlsson Panarin and Kakko.
