That's because it's preseason. Can't evaluate him fairly until he's playing against teams @ full strength & navigating the long season.In the interviews I’ve seen made it look like McDonough was the main decision maker. I think Doncic will be good but Ayton is probably the most overlooked number one pick in history. The dude is averaging like 22 and 12 with 3 blocks in the preseason and no one ever talks about him.
Don't you have a smartphone? Download the ESPN app & watch it on your phone.Lebron and Lonzo are supposed to play together for the 1st time tomorrow and I'm gonna be on a plane to Florida.
Reservation says the flight has live tv. Hope ESPN is one of the channels.![]()
THIS, which is why I was shocked to hear their offer.Rockets would be hurting themselves even more if they gave up PJ Tucker to get Butler. It's bad enough they lost Ariza and Mbah A Moute this offseason which will hurt them on defense. But Tucker is SO valuable to them on that end of the floor. He is the absolute key for them if they go small on top of being a good fit next Capela in more traditional line ups. His ability to switch across pretty much every position can't be replaced. He does all their dirty work. Butler is a better player, but not a better fit for that team if Tucker is gone.
They offered all of that for Butler?
Did you miss Kyrie stating he's staying in Boston?Butler is a good enough defender to offset his loss and he's a lot offensively.....Adding him
and Melo would more than offset their off-season losses.
Just not sure if he'd re-sign in Houston. He seems to want to play with Irving in Brooklyn.
Apparently they didn't.They offered all of that for Butler?

Kyrie Irving on Boston: ‘I’m planning on re-signing here next year’
Very true.I can't trust a fella that said the Earth is flat. And what he's saying right now might not be the same thing after the season. If he sticks around great. If he doesn't adios muther fuker!
Apparently they didn't.
@wildturkey is right.
They don't want to add Tucker.
Ps. Where you been?
Stefano Fusaro: Jimmy Butler update: According to a league source, The Wolves contacted the Rockets again Tuesday morning, after their failed deal with Miami this past weekend. Minnesota was still adamant on receiving Eric Gordon and PJ Tucker, but Houston will not put Tucker on the table.
@tlance , @shopson67 , @CitySushi ....
What are your thoughts on Diallo of the Thunder?
Damn if he doesn't ooze potential.
He reminds me so much of Wiggins.
Before people start balking...
Wiggins as the #1 overall pick and on a max salary is very different than Wiggins picked #45 and on a 3 year rookie minimum contract.
This kid might turn out to be the steal of the draft and Trier might be the next guy that people say ...how the fuck did he not get drafted?!?
@DJ , @LAD , @wildturkey ....
Yeah, I don't know what the truth is here.
I don't think Thibbs has any clue either...lol
Multiple reports have the Rockets eliminated from contention, despite offering a package rumored to be as big as Eric Gordon, P.J. Tucker, and several draft picks. The reasoning for Houston being ruled out isn’t because of the deal, but because, reportedly, Minnesota doesn’t want the Rockets to become the kind of juggernaut the Western Conference already has in Golden State. “We already are at [that level],” Feritta says in a phone call. “We’re an improved team over last year based on who we’ve acquired this offseason. And last year, obviously, we’re a game away from the Finals. “We would love to see Jimmy come home to Houston. It’s not a financial decision, it’s an assets decision on our part. We’ve got a great basketball team. We think we’re as good as anybody in the league. We’re not going to give up unreasonable assets, to break up this team, to get Jimmy Butler. But we would love to have him
Looks like Butler is going to the Heat...
But, we've been here before.
So, take that with a grain of salt.
Ps. Jimmy has huge nuts to walk back into that locker room.....Lmao
