First time in a long time I miss having the Big 3.
Seeing them all this week brings back crazy memories.

Yep this week was rough. More emotional than I thought.

As Eric Reid said you either grew up with D-Wade (me) or you grew old with him.

Either way as a Heat fan you got to love the man for everything he did for Miami

Dirk cannot play anymore.
This season was ugly enough....If he had played another season, it would have been Willie Mays falling down.

D-Wade has some more in the tank.
He could easily be a valuable contributor again next season.

Which seems odd because you’d figure they’d rather face the Nuggets in the 2nd round than the Warriors. Of course that’s assuming there’s no upsets but still they can’t like the odds of facing the Warriors.

They are very similar.....just stop with your hatred.....
are you on drugs? or just a dip shit of epic proportions? to compare a guy who won DPOY and has led his team to the palyoffs in the West to a guy who plays 23 minutes a game and was banished to the bench?

its not even a discussion between Goert and Whiteside- its not even close.

1. It's been reported that Magic Johnson was just not committed to the job. Every person that takes over that role has visions of their respective team making it to the Finals and winning. It takes effort, precision and effectiveness in their own duties to achieve that vision; Magic was clearly lacking in the first part, and probably wasn't good with the other traits either. Magic staying in the role likely would've resulted in the Lakers continuing on the path of mediocrity. He basically wasted a year of Lebron's prime years which are slowly dwindling away.

2. I understand the reasoning for allowing Randle to leave if you land an actual All-Star. Randle's a good player, but he's not elite (at the moment). I also am assuming that you mean picking Lonzo Ball over Tatum and not the way you worded it. If Pelinka really wanted Tatum over Ball, then that's not exactly a reason to fire him. Also, Magic's the one whom made the overall decisions. He could've overrode Pelinka's decision making. It was his hire, it falls on him as well.
Those were my two biggest gripes and the two biggest ones that I have been hearing about, but He did well in landing LeBron - Even if the Lakers knew they couldn't win LeBron, its still going to sell every game out for every game, the Lakers play no matter what stadium they play in. Kuzma was also a great pick. Luke Walton wanted Randle and Lopez, so I can see why Magic and Walton clashed. They definitely did not share the same vision, but quite frankly I think I like Walton's vision a little better

In response to Magic Johnson commitment, no I don't think he was committed. At the end of the day I never did think he had the commitment and was left wondering why he was putting so much time and effort into some one else's pocket when he hade his own commitments and quite frankly, I like what his partners have done with the Dodgers, but they still haven't won a world series, they lack depth in their pitching staff, and they need a deeper rotation of better hitters, so I thought from the beginning he should go handle his own commitments. It was a conflict of interest to say the least

Now, with the right person in charge, Johnson leaving may be the best thing that has happened to the Lakers. I don't think Johnson ever intended to stay that long and may have been thinking from the beginning, he would turn the Lakers around and then go back. With Johnson gone, the Lakers can try to undo the damage Johnson done.

For the record, I really did not think LeBron was a good fit for the Lakers. The Lakers had a large group of young players and would have been better to have kept Randle and Lopez, and not waived Luol Deng. They would have won just as many games, and now would have more money with only one year to do waive Deng and stretch. Instead 5 million for three years, it would have been much less and I think there would have been a much better chance at landing Leonard and someone like Butler. My concern was also injuries. I know everyone thinks LeBron never had an injury, but I also know that father time is undefeated. Sooner or later you will have to go the doctor and sooner or later he is going to be lecturing you about Acid Reflux, Cholesterol, blood pressure and taking better care of you even you haven't been to the doctor's in several years(going on 4 years for me)

Timberwolves up by 6 at the end of 3rd. Game shouldn’t even be this close but it looks like the Nuggets are content with playing OKC in the first round as the 3 seed.

Can anyone explain why Portland would just give up in the 3 seed?

Well Denver is losing so Portland is gonna be the 4 seed so might as well rest some players while you have the chance.

Of course that’s not the reason but that’s what they’ll tell themselves.

No difference between 3 and 4. Get hca in round 1 and are on the road in round 2 if the top seeds advance. Why go all out and risk injury in game 82 for something so minor?
