The Big 4 Free Agents, Kawhi, Kyrie, Klay and Durant are likely not going to LA.
I doubt Kemba goes as i think staying in place, or going to his hometown of NY is more likely- but I wouldnt totally rule him out either.
I could see Jimmy Butler going, who would help in the next year or two, but I dont think I would want to give Jimmy Butler 4 years 140M dollars. He will be 30 when next season starts, and is, in my opinion, a major head case.
LA's really only hope is to trade for AD. I think you might be able to see them offer their current lottery pick, future 1st, Ingram, Kuzma and Hart for AD. The trade for him might be appealing because the Pelicans could also create a trade exception in excess of 16M+, which could help them absorb another bad contract from a team later and get future assets as well. Or if they're really hurting let it expire and net the difference.
If they're able get AD, have a healthy Lonzo and Lebron, that's a solid foundation. If you could add one more mid tier piece as a starter and then be smart with the role players they use to round out the roster the Lakers could be formidable next year.
AD is honestly the key to the Lakers offseason.
