First Pat McCaw being an idiot, now Jordan Bell going the same route. Looks like he's probably on his way out from the Warriors for being an immature idiot.

Tons of concerns, most of all being work ethic. But yesterday he was suspended for "conduct detrimental to the team". Reports are that he charged something to his room, and put it on Mike Brown's credit card. No one knows exactly what it was, but let's be real, it was ****.

Bob Myers has done a great job of landing guys who have contributed to the team as late 1st or 2nd round picks, but of his last 5 picks, Kevon Looney looks like the only one worth keeping. Damian Jones is still an unknown. But McCaw, Bell and Jacob Evans all look like they may never be in the long term future for the Warriors. You could argue the Warriors got their money's worth already because of McCaw, Bell and Looney all playing some sort of important minutes in the playoffs and finals of the last few years, but at some point you have to be realistic about how that translates to future success.

And truthfully this really hurts the team going forward. The Warriors needed to hit on at least 2 of these 5 to be able to retain some young players on cap friendly contracts while they pay out big money to the stars. McCaw and Bell are looking like guys that just won't work out for the team long term. Damian Jones looks like a poor man's version of Javale McGee, but at least he's still young. Looney has been really good for his role, but his ceiling is likely quality back-up big. And Evans looks like a complete bust so far, with even Bob Myers saying he made a mistake in thinking Evans might be able to contribute this year.

The Warriors will have both their 1st and 2nd round picks, and I'm hoping for Lacob to authorize another purchase of a 2nd round pick. But then we'll need to hit on some of these guys.
This may be one of those dynasties that doesn't just downshift to decent team level, or stay relevant forever like the Spurs, this may be a full crash and burn.

Although I don't see why a team with Steph and Klay to build around couldn't at least be a playoff team for a few years until they get old

Which would kind of suck for Ws fans, but the rest of the league would love it. So I'm enjoying every minute of what might be the last year of the run

That motherfucker is a shitbird.

You charging your bullshit to another member of the organizations account?

You didn't think Mike Brown was keeping track of his spending because he's rich?

I can't stand a fucking thief.

At some point on Tuesday night, Jordan Bell made a purchase at the Warriors’ team hotel here. The exact item or items and amount of the bill is unclear. What isn’t, though, is who got unknowingly charged for it: assistant coach Mike Brown. That, league sources say, was the reason for his team-issued one-game suspension, which Bell served during the Warriors’ 118-103 victory over the Grizzlies on Wednesday night, the reasoning announced officially as “conduct detrimental to the team.”

Brown was alerted to the charge. He inquired about it. The staff at The Peabody hotel, where the team stayed, confirmed its purchase. So the Warriors launched a quick investigation and it became clear that Bell is the one who put it on Brown’s bill. There was concern, sources say, that this wasn’t the first time Bell has pulled this maneuver on some unknowing member of the organization.

I was excited when they drafted him, but stupidity and bad decisions have put his roster spot in serious jeopardy. I doubt he's back next season. There will surely be plenty of worthy candidates to take his place. Plus, such a move would reassure the rest of the team and staff that the organization has their back and would not keep such a person among them.

The Spurs held it down with their aging superstars for years. But the key components to their runs were the ability to replenish their roster with late finds in the draft and underrated free agents. Right now that seems to be the logical missing piece to the Warriors extending a run. If the Warriors kept Steph and Klay, imo, they would still be a perennial playoff team. What would separate them from getting more championship runs would be the guys placed around them.

The Warriors have whiffed big time on recent free agent acquisitions and draft picks. For all the love Bob Myers gets for past accomplishments, I think he's going to need to do some things quickly to change my dwindling opinion of him.

McCaw wins two ships with the Warriors. Gets signed by the Cavs, who dump him immediately, then is picked up by the team with the 2nd best record in the East.

So the two teams who wanted him are Championship contenders and the one team that doesn't is in the shitter. Makes sense.

well obviously they got rid of him because they wanted to tank. Cant tank when you have THE Patrick McCaw on your roster

No doubt. At least you can say you had Cavs Legend Patrick McCaw for a brief stint.

Even less of a stint than Cavs legends Shaquille O'Neal and Andrew Bogut

Here's Bob Myers significant track record since 2014:

2014-15
Signed Shaun Livingston to a MLE deal. Great
Signed Leandro Barbosa to a vet min. Great
Signed Justin Holiday from the D-League. Good

2015-16
Signed Ian Clark to a minimum deal. Good.
Drafted Kevon Looney 30th overall. Good.
Signed Anderson Varaejo as a deadline pickup. TERRIBLE.

2016-17
Landed Kevin Durant. AMAZING.
Signed David West to vet min. Great
Signed Javale McGee to a vet min. Good
Signed Zaza Pachulia to small deal. Good
Drafted Damian Jones. Meh
Drafted Patrick McCaw. Ok

2017-18
Signed Omri Casspi. Terrible.
Signed Nick Young. Terrible.
Signed Quinn Cook. Meh
Drafted Jordan Bell. Meh

2018-19
Signed Jonas Jerebko. Meh
Signed Alfonzo McKinney. Meh
Signed DeMarcus Cousins. Don't give Bob credit here because Boogie wanted to come.
Signed Andrew Bogut. Good
Drafted Jacob Evans. Meh

Bob started off really strong in 2012 Drafting Barnes, Draymond and Ezeli. Followed that up by signing Andre Iguodala. Then had some amazing finds in 14-15 and hired Steve Kerr as coach. Since then he hasn't been great, just being objective.

Maybe he can come in if they finally do Kyrie's tribute and get his done same night.

2 for 1 special.

Honestly surprised that the Cavs haven't retired Harrison Barnes jersey yet. Way over due for his importance to your franchise's first NBA Title.

Cmon bro!

I get that he could have done better the last 2 years, but we are talking about 30 something picks and minimum contracts.

If I posted the Wizards moves over the past 6 years I think I would want to shoot myself in the face halfway through the post.

LOL. I could post the Warriors from basically 93-2008 and it would be every bit as painful.

I know I'm being nitpicky with Bob, but the Warriors stated they were going to try a youth movement with at least the role players. That can't happen if you don't have any quality young players.

The Warriors model is top heavy. As such they need key pieces around them to produce.

I think they guy has done a solid job but your concerns with him are valid. Guess if you wanted to pick more nits you could say he lucked into Curry because of 2 Minnesota brain farts and Durant (like Cousins) was coming because of his teammates, not Bob.
