What I'm saying is the Warriors at least had him on their radar. The Cavs had 3 opportunities before the Warriors to draft him and they didn't. The Warriors had Ezeli higher on their board and took him. Draymond was a luxury pick, but at least they thought of him.

He is the favorite player for most Spurs fans who actually live in SA. It is not even close.
You could see how tight the Spurs were tonight. They did not want to lose this game and crush the fans.

The celebration for beating an awful Cavs team (in what would be otherwise meaningless) was impressive.
The pressure to not screw it up tonight seemed worse than a playoff game.

Fitting that Patty Mills was the hero. He is the last piece of it.

Exactly. Players don't tank. They have zero incentive to, especially marginal guys trying to stay in the league, and better guys trying to get paid, and really good ones trying to be allstars and ROYs and all NBAs. Basically everyone.

Only reason he's still in the top 10 is because this draft is hot garbage past the top 3. Like if you're sitting at number 4 and draft someone who is listed at #30 on the mock I wouldn't even be mad. Yeah, it isn't a deep class. There are some good players after 3 though.

But high ceiling guys like Reddish and Nassir Little tend to get drafted over quality role player types.

And if Morant and Zion live up to the hype and even 1 or 2 other players exceed expectations and develop into stars this will end up being a pretty good class despite the lack of depth.
