You're just proving my point here. All you can come up with for my style is that I never admit I'm wrong, EVER. In fact when you literally first showed up here, I asserted that there have never been superstar players who became good coaches, you correctly noted Larry Bird, I immediately conceded, and you stated how you were pleasantly shocked to find a forum where someone did that. Our very first interaction here. Happy to pull the quote if you don't remember. And that's not the only example of me admitting error.

So no, it's not me who never admits error or who keeps arguments going far too long. You just did it again. Just sayin'. And again, it's a message board, you can do what you want, you are not at all over the line with your style, and you are a welcome participant here. Just pointing out how you are perceived here, how you come across. Do with it what you will.
I'm the newbie. I get it. It's a do as I say not as I do group. Like most.

And I do recall that exchange about Bird so guess what....I was wrong and my apologies. But as you said about me, all that was was conceding to being wrong about what is pretty much a fact.

But I said "never" so I was wrong....but, alas, only about a fact.

As I'm sure you are aware, though, many can be proven to be factually incorrect and instead spin out of control instead of manning (or womaning) up and admitting the mistake/gaffe.

Personally I am rooting for OKC and Houston to match up.

I just think it would be a good series. Slight edge to Houston because of home court, but no idea who would win there.

San Antonio would probably be the other team Houston wouldn't love to face.
Gotta think everyone is fighting to face Portland....but with so many teams so close that will not be an easy accomplishment.

Let's say Boston gets Memphis pick which would give them 4 1st round picks (2 lottery picks).

If Boston calls New Orleans and say we'll give you 1 of lottery picks, our draft pick from the Clippers, and Tatum.

Does New Orleans accept that?
Certainly have to consider....but what if NY offers more?

LOL at Cavs fans thinking Clarkson is almost a star.

He isn't a star LOL. But he is a shot-maker, he has vastly improved though. I would think of him as a perfect 6th man...like Lou Williams. He isn't a starter right now so why would he be a starter when the Cavs improve their roster?

I think there may be a wild card team that emerges.....much like the Raps when they acquired Leonard. I remember that caught most of us on here off guard.
You mean one Woj never saw coming?

I kid....I kid

Sure, we all like to argue or we wouldn't be here. There are degrees however, and you're a bit of an outlier. I've called out others who keep arguments going way too long also, LAD comes to mind. And Wiggy of course, but his style is obviously to troll and get under certain people's skin. You don't do that.

dont get me wrong- i was pretty decent--- i remember one game i struck out 14 guys in 6 innings and struck out the side in the first 3 innings---- but i didnt even play my senior year after hurting my shoulder- so i cant claim to be awesome or anything.

about 6'1" 215 lb. lefty and could sit around 80-82 and hit up to 84 on occasion. but i didnt have great mechanics and control woudl come and go.
I'm a 49-year-old lefty. Might be able to get it into the mid-60s. I see some of the lefties who stick around and feel like I should get a shot.

Yeah....only a few of us here. Not sure who called him a star. I also said solid 6th man.

don't know about that. Sweet Lou is a helluva lot more consistent when it comes to scoring. Clarkson tries to force his shots on a lot of occasions...

so "perfect 6th man" i'm not seeing. he's made some positive strides, though...

Only area I think we disagree here is the number of people with this "style". I think there are many (not sure you are immune).

But, yeah, this board might die if we all agreed.

I think he's a great option for a 6th man. Perfect? Yeah, might be a stretch, but who is perfect. I'd also take Lou over Clarkson.

Look at Lou's numbers when he was 26. Lou has gotten better over the last 3-4 years.
Clarkson is still young. He needs to improve his 3 point shot but it is down from previous years. Clarkson is more of a shot-maker than Lou was at his age. If you don't think Lou forces shots you must not watch him play. He can go off for 30 points but he isn't efficient by an means. He is an elite scorer off the bench, when you need buckets he gets them. Clarkson's purpose is exactly the same.

Lou is also 6 years older. He has vastly improved over the last 4 years but he is still inefficient, that isn't his purpose though, it's to get buckets. Right now, yeah I would take Lou for sure
