Sucks he got hurt, but I wouldn't go so far as to say he was a bright light. He has been pretty terrible in Phoenix. Even played his way out of the rotation a couple times.

Youth... it has it's hazards. Coaching helps solve that. There's clear talent with him.

I like KJ for his defense, but could see them going with Shabazz for the local ties. Not much point in Green, as he doesn't have any real upside left, unlike the other two. James Young is available, could be reclamation project as a shooter. Still vets out there like Gerald Henderson, Monta Ellis, Tony Allen, Beasley, etc.

Wouldn't mind them taking a chance on Michael Gbinije, but that's just the Syracuse homer in me lol.

Gbinije is a good kid. Local to my area. Got to know him a little when he was in his early high school years. Definitely rooting for him to make it.

He has some talent and he isn't old, but he has been in the league 6 years already. We have likely seen his best basketball already. He played well 2 years ago when Bledsoe was out, but really struggled last year, shooting under 40% and only averaging 21 minutes a game.

He is not part of the long term plan in Phoenix. They view him as expendable and would love to shed his contract.

Hated reading about that. Absolutely hated it. That kid lit the Mavs up a couple of times last year and is a bright light for the Suns. This sucks.

He's really a journeyman at this point. A backup on a good team or starter on a bad team.
