Good trade for the Nets, use that cap space to take on bad contracts and add future assets. I thought the Kings would do that but they went for the vets instead.

That's exactly what the Nets should be doing. The Kings don't tank -- so the vet route for them wasn't a surprise.

I will say- Dan Gilbert was a FOOL to let Griffin go. Made no sense. I think Griffin wanted to keep Love while Gilbert wanted to deal him. Gilbert wanted final control- and wouldnt give it to griffin because he left--- dumb move by Gilbert. Really dumb.

I heard this morning that it's a Grade 2 Sprain. He's done until training camp opens for the regular season. He will see a specialist tomorrow to determine the severity of the sprain and the proper recovery.

The critical thing about Lonzo and the other rookies playing in the Summer League, is can they play equally well against veterans during the real season?? Tatum was MVP of the Utah Jazz Round Robin last week averaging 22 points and 12 Rebs. a game. Against the Lakers last night he had 27 points 12 Rebounds. More important, the 'Team' won the game. He scored about 10 on that weird fall away he has.

Nobody is anointing Tatum as the next Karl Malone or Kevin McHale. I think Lavar Ball has convinced Laker Fans that Lonzo will be the next Magic, Jordan and Kidd in one pair of $500 sneakers. Give it a rest guys, he's had 2 rookies games and while he's shown some pretty good stuff he hasn't blown the doors off this clambake.
