Getting a bit nervous now.

Does this mean he's gonna choose a team, have his agent come out as saying he's still undecided, and then end up picking that team anyway?

Hmmm, I just checked hoopshype too and it didn't have anything listed. Usually it would also list options and/or QO's.

That's odd. I still have that window open & it's working for me. It says total salary is 1,312,611.

You don't think someone will pay him anyway after next year?

Yeah I think someone will give him a shot. But it'll also depend on what the market is like. Looking at him at face value, his numbers don't jump off the chart. He'll still be very much a work in progress even after this year. So you're paying for potential which is always dangerous to teams. But McCaw is clearly being groomed for a larger role with the team. He was just a rookie last year, so it's always hard to gauge.

Young is a very good shooter but has always been streaking. Is he worth $18.5 mil over with that penalty?

He can be. He had arguably his best season defensively last year and played well in Luke's system. Luke's system is basically GSW's system, so he should be fine.

I know he was joking, but it really wouldn't surprise me to see @The Derski prediction of career high shooting percentages come true. Talent has never been Nick Young's problem.

lol @the author predicting the Lakers going 45-37 this year. Unless they pull off some big trade, 41 wins is their absolute ceiling and probably more like 35.

30-35 sounds about right. 18-34 against the West and maybe 15-15 against the East.
Should be enough to prevent the BOS pick from conveying at 2-5.

I also read that Swaggy's defense was much better last year under Walton. Can you confirm?

I think Swaggy fits the Warriors because Ron Adams has been getting guys like Ian Clark and Leandro Barbosa to be servicable defensive players. If Swaggy can become a halfway decent defender, at 6'7, that's going to be huge in the Warriors being able to continue their defensive strategies and switching everything.

The biggest thing to me about the two signings is the Warriors got their bench depth and shooters, being 6'7 and 6'9" respectively. Lots of flexibility with lineups.

I'm thinking 33-35, outside shot at 38-40 wins.

Yeah, I see them as a 30-35 win team, depending on health. If a couple of the young guys make big jumps and everyone stays healthy, they could get to 41. But 41 wins is a 15 game improvement...that's a big jump with no top FA's joining this year.

I think Lopez will have a big season.....he's playing for his next big payday.

I don't think so. It was a straight 2 year, guaranteed contract for the minimum I think. No options. I think Myers signed Swaggy and Casspi to push McCaw further back on the bench, pushing back his value so that he can be resigned at a much more cap friendly figure next year.

Fully guaranteed 2 year deal.

I remember because I gagged when you drafted him.

Yes. He's not winning any DPOY awards, but his effort was much more consistent and he actually was a fairly solid on ball defender. He's definitely long and athletic enough to fit into the Warriors "switch everything" scheme.

I'm a little bit of a Swaggy P fanboy (he's my version of Beasley for @TurnUpTheHeat) so I'm happy to see him go to the Warriors. I think he'll fit in well.

I see the Lakers between 25-29 wins unless they make a few more moves tbh
