Yeah that's another thing. The West got tougher. I mean I guess I can see low 30's if a lot of things go well. Like 33 or 34 but I think they're closer to 29-31
How do you see the West shaking out on Paper?

Warriors, Spurs, Rox Top 3.

I think the Wolves can get #4.

OKC #5.

Blazers, Clippers, Nugs, Jazz, Griz dog fight for the last 3 spots.

I'm thinking:

1) Dubs
2) Rockets
3) Spurs
4) Thunder
5) Wolves
6) Blazers
7) Nuggets
8) Clippers/Pelicans

I know it's only Summer League, but Bam looks like he's going to be a real player. I was really high on him before the draft and had him listed as my sleeper because he was projected to go in the late teens to mid 20's. I thought he had massive amounts of talent and wasn't surprised at all he went in the lottery. I think his offensive numbers are a bit high, but I saw Tristan Thompson written all over him. I think when him and Whiteside are on the court together you guys are going to be a nightmare on the boards and protecting the paint.

Yeah I love what I'm seeing out of him especially if he starts knocking down those jumpshots.

the Thuds could go all the way down to 6 if the chemistry between Westbrick and PG-13 sucks...

True but they can also get as high as 3rd IMO as well. They didn't lose much and added a top 15 player to play with Russ. They won 47 wins when Russ had absolutely no help. I can see 53+ wins

Something tells me if Stephens was not his coach at Butler that he would have went with Miami

I think the Jazz and Grizzlies won't have enough firepower to keep up. Losing Randolph was huge for the Grizzlies. I don't have any faith in Doc to reconstruct an offense around Blake and you'll see how much the team was reliant on CP3 to run the show. The Clips, IMO, should run a lot of Blake at the 5 with Gallo at the 4 to maximize efficiency.

Gordon Hayward's wife, Robyn had to turn off comments on IG because people were coming at her over his decision.

I think Patrick Patterson signing with the Thunder is one of the most underrated signings of Free Agency. He's going to thrive in his role with them and he's the perfect fit to their roster. Seeing as they were able to get him for on the MLE, that's a win.

The fact that Teams like Denver, Minny and Sacto got better and the Clippers, Utah got worse, makes it tough to evaluate until we see how guys fit together on the court.

True. However, all it really does is change who is more beatable for a team like the Lakers. Teams like the Clips and Jazz, who they weren't beating last year, may be beatable this year. Also, the East got worse, so they should be able to have a better record vs. the East and stay at least relatively close to the same vs. the West as last year.

I'm hoping Westbrook learned his lesson and got that hero ball shit out of his system with his MVP win.

If not, somebody is getting dealt at the deadline.

Time will tell.

Is Clarkson staying though? Thought he was on the trade block

He was on the trade block when they were trying to trade for PG. I don't think they are looking to make any more trades right now unless something falls into their lap.

I would expect that they will explore it again during the season, especially when it gets close to the trade deadline. But, that may not even happen since the players they are expected to target after next season will all be FA's.

The problem for Russ will always be if he can co-exist and thrive alongside another star who needs the ball in his hands. I don't think it's so much his hero-ball attitude, just overall the way he plays the game. PG has a system built around him. He'll have to adjust just as much as Russ, if not more. He's coming to a team with an established Alpha.

I'd take Waiters on a 1 year deal worth 17 million (that's about all we have I think).....stick him at SG next to Ball....

Playing Blake at point forward only helps if he isn't injured.

He will be.

Playing him at the 5 would be suicidal outside of short stints against small ball lineups.

They need to finalize things with Milos to help guys like Jordan, Thornwell and Gallo to get easier buckets.

Dude is as bad as Midget Isiah Thomas on defense.

But, that Serbian bastard got that white chocolate passing ability and can hit the three ball at a decent clip.

There is no replacing Chris Paul.

But, this Dude is uber Rubio with a jumper.
