In that case Crawford would probably start at the 2, next to Ball.
....if he gets bought out.

Hawks said he has to give up a ton of money.

That would work in the Lakers favor if they don't sign Waiters.

He's gonna want to recoup that money and Spurs, Cavs can't accommodate.

@bksballer89 @TurnUpTheHeat @Heatles84

I know it's only Summer League, but Bam looks like he's going to be a real player. I was really high on him before the draft and had him listed as my sleeper because he was projected to go in the late teens to mid 20's. I thought he had massive amounts of talent and wasn't surprised at all he went in the lottery. I think his offensive numbers are a bit high, but I saw Tristan Thompson written all over him. I think when him and Whiteside are on the court together you guys are going to be a nightmare on the boards and protecting the paint.

We'll see.
I dont get overly excited about summer league, but so far he has shown what he said about there being more to his game then we saw in college.

Yeah, I know it may be a long-shot.

True but usually when you're bad in summer league, it isn't a good thing. Napier is a perfect example of this.

I honestly think Waiters is down to the Heat/Knicks. Not sure if he wants to do another 1 yr prove it type of deal which is what the Lakers would provide. I think he wants a longer term deal. Miami probably gives him 3 or 4 and same for the Knicks

Has anyone offered him anything?
Whats he considering?
I am not ok breaking the bank for him.

What is your meaning of breaking the bank though? Considering the money I've seen thrown out there, I'm completely fine with Miami providing 15 or 16 mil yearly. Now if you say close to 20 then yeah I'm not doing that either.

Yeah I used to watch it but gave up on it 2 or 3 years ago. If I want to know how the Heat rookies are doing then I just go on twitter to see what our beat writers are saying

Yep... ^this^ is the 100% right way to look at Summer League.

- If you play well, that's neutral
- If you play poorly...

Jeremy Lin showed in summer league, I think it was against John Wall, that he could play in the NBA. Ian Clark and Kent Bazemore also come to mind when showing they could compete at an NBA level.

Then you have Anthony Randolph who looked like he was going to be a HOFer who panned to nothing.

Good showings can only help. But totally agree if you're bad in Summer League that's more of an indicator of your true talent than being good.

Oh my GAWD....

The Boston best off-season thread just went to hell in a hand basket.

How dafuq we go from Tom Cruise movie deaths, to racist ass white people on over to "darkies" doing manual labor over the course of half a page?:dhd:

Gonna stay here where it's safe.

they pull THAT one off and they're definitely a threat to the Cavs...
Apparently, Gasol has a clause in his contract that Memphis would have to pay him some significant sum extra... many millions... if they trade him away.

He already makes a huge salary. From Boston's point-of-view, I don't know how they take it on... and they certainly wouldn't want to pay a premium price in any trade when they'd already be taking on a big extra salary.

I don't see it happening.
