True. I say offer D'Angelo because PG-13 will be taking his spot anyway and he's not going to be cool with coming off the bench.

It would essentially kill 2 birds with 1 stone. The Lakers get the star quality player they need and want and they get trading D'Angelo out of the way (which they were going to have to do anyway).

It also allows the Pacers to save some face which is good for any future trades. Especially if the Lakers send the #28 along with D'Angelo.
That Dude at SG would just be.....

Unfair...lol

George, Ball and Ingram would be Helluva length in the backcourt and wing.

You guys are being very disrespectful to the Nets.

They'd do just about anything for #28...lol

3 Team trade.

But, isn't including Clarkson the easier solution?

Jordan > Short ass malcontent, Monta

I'd rather keep Clarkson. He's been very good coming off the bench. Imo, he's becoming a young Lou Williams. That instant offense off the bench will come in handy when the Lakers get to the point that they are a playoff team.

He's reported to be working on improving defensively. If that's the case, he'll be even more valuable for them.

Hey now I don't wanna hear no talk of the Nets improving for next year. Let 'em stay a shitty team because the Celtics own their 1st rounder. The Brooklyn Nets: the gift that keeps on giving the Celtics 1st round picks.

Yeah...heard he's been lefty all summer

His salary would make the math work.

But, you Don t want to cripple the future just to get a guy now that you could get for nothing in another year.

Depends on what they think they can get for him from other teams and whether or not they want to go through the season knowing he's leaving.

When Shaq wanted out, Dr. Buss wasted no time shipping him off to the Heat. It sucked to lose him, but it was better than going through the entire season dealing with someone who didn't want to be there and was going to walk at the end of the season.

If I'm the Lakers...I offer D'Angelo. If the Pacers say no...

I offer D'Angelo and the #28. If they still say no...

I offer D'Angelo and Randle (#28 off the table). If they still say no. I wish them luck and tell PG-13..."see ya next summer."

Problem is, the Lakers can't afford to trade both Randle and Russel for George. They will need some combination of 1 + future picks to rid themselves of Mozgov and Deng.

I bet that neither player is on their roster long term, but they can't deal both for George or they will limit their ability to maneuver for the next 2-3 seasons.

True. It would be expensive, but I saw where stretching Deng and Mozgov would clear the space.

More backstory behind this. 5 years ago today in a crucial game 4, Mario Chalmers dropped 25 huge points. Chalmers, James, & Wade combined for 76 of the Heat 104 points that night.

If You Are The Pacers, Do You Take It?

The Lakers Should Have Been On The Phone The Second Monta Got Suspended.

I Wouldnt Give The Pacers Anything, Personally.

Clear The Books Using D Lo Or Whomever Outside Of Ingram.

Sign Him For Nothing.

But Again....the Cavs, Celtics, Spurs Are Gonna call.

So, Its A Risk.

The Lakers only have 15.6 million in the summer of 2018.

Or, wait a year. Then you have a full year of Russell playing the 2 with a real PG in Ball. Improved play makes him a better trade chip to get ANOTHER star player in addition to George.

The Lakers should be VERY hesitant to give up any of their young talent to get George a year earlier. Hell, even if Lebron gets him in Cleveland this year, they still will be underdogs vs the Warriors and could both come to LA next summer as free agents. Then the Lakers still have their full complement of prospects to help dump salary if needed, or trade for a 3rd star player.
