Or wait 12 months and get him for nothing?

The Pacers are on the ropes.

I wouldn't say they're on the ropes. If Cleveland isn't that confident that LBJ is re-signing next summer then why wouldn't they offer Love for PG and try to win one more title? There is also a good chance in a weak east you get a team who is 3rd or 4th trying around the AS break trying to acquire George for a run at the finals?

I Mean, If Orlando got A 1st rounder And Ross from Toronto for Ibaka at the deadline.

George Is worth twice that.

Not all first rounders are created equal. Ross and a late first each have very little real value. They are basically league average players.

Sure.

If I'm the Lakers, I roll the dice.

He could like where he goes and stay like Love.

Or

He could have it and bolt like Howard.

That's the risk you take.

But, if Ibaka, Noel, Jeff Green are worth a 1st rounder at the deadline, as 2 month rentals, you are not getting Paul George for Deangelo Russell.

That's not how the game is played.

What trade would work for the lakers? Indy are not adding Deng or Mozy

Very true.

Those picks will be in the late teens or 20's....

Some might convert to 2nd rounders....I didn't really look.

Point still stands.

At this point of the Summer, Indy is not desperate enough to take Deangelo Russell only for Paul George.

That's nice.

What does that have to do with taking Russell and being lucky to get him?

There is no way they do that.

D'Angelo is probably the best player any team would offer.

I think you have to attach a attractive asset.

Because of those shit contracts for Monta and Jefferson, who are cookee, I don't see them taking Deng.

Jersey for that late 1st rounder might be the way to go there.

But, Randle and D LO gives them prospects to add to Turner for the future.

I don't know how that works for contract purposes though....

I disagree.

Everyone knew Love was leaving.

Everyone knew Melo was leaving.

They still got good value.

WIiggins , Gallo, Chandler, a less fat Felton.

George is better than both those guys.

The Pacers don't have to do a thing......not yet.

Things don't get dicey until the deadline.

If the Celtics, Cavs or Wizards believe they are close, you don't think they'd give up Brown, Love, Crowder maybe Porter?

Every one of those guys are better than D Lo....currently.

Well, maybe not Brown....that's a step to far right now.

The only reason the Lakers would even consider trading D'Angelo for PG right now is because George would play the position Russell is going to play.

Everyone knew it to be true.

So, I applaud his honesty.

Sucks for Indiana.

Now they have to take whatever the Lakers are willing to give them or let him leave for nothing.

But, why in the hell would be want to stay in Indiana and still lose?

Al Jefferson, Weed head Ellis are cooked.

If I'm the Lakers, I offer D'Angelo straight up. Maybe D'Angelo and the #28.

People must remember the east is weak when it comes to title contenders. Teams would be willing to rent george if it means they can beat Cleveland by adding him.

And now nobody will want to trade for him because of his comments about the lakers. As I said before major dick move.

It's not like it was a well kept secret. No one was going to offer anything without him signing an extension anyway.
