But, making the right pick there alters the entire course of history. It makes Minny better, but it is highly unlikely they get the right pieces around Curry to be a legit contender. Golden State hit gold with their picks multiple times. Curry alone couldn't carry them anywhere.

Your original comment implies that they would be amazing if they got that pick right. It doesn't work like that.

That squad only had Al Jefferson (he was the only really good player).....even with the Curry pick they still would have sucked for another 2-3 seasons before they showed signs of drastic improvement.

Gay is still part of the Clippers focus, too. Clippers plan to meet with Danilo Gallinari and Gay over next two days.

But, the point is that they would not have gotten Townes, and they might not have been so willing to deal Love because they would have been better. Curry + Love is the basis of a first round playoff team. Also, Wiggins isn't all that. Even if they had dealt Love, it doesn't make them a great team. Perhaps not even as good as they are right now.

Like I said, everything would be different and LeBron would probably have more rings.

Got to remember all the issues the Thunder had when Russ was off the floor. There is a place for Gay on this team without a doubt. Start as a stretch 4 then bring him out early and set the rotation.

you think everyone is a bad fit for OKC. They obviously need more players who can create their own offense instead of depending on Russ for everything so I don't see how this is a bad fit. Some of the load is off westbrook if you're able to add Gay.
