Yeah, I know.
The 5.0 is a great engine but Ford has shackled it since day one because "Ecoboost" is their darling.
The 3.5TT does not get any better mpg, but it does provide thrust under load.
What it does not have, besides an economic advantage, is great sound.
Now that the packaging advantage of a V6 over a V8 is gone with the switch to a longitudinal drive line...I am just hoping is all.

Surprising is that the Ranger is good for towing 7600 lbs with the 2.3 Turbo while the explorer is only good for 5600 lbs with the 3.0 turbo.

Hopefully now that the Explorer is out with the V6, the Ranger will gain 2 more cylinders as well.
