I'm pretty sure that twin turbo business is already in a couple Lincolns.

edit: the vid in there says such. The Aviator looks nice.

Yes, I know. The 2.7TT in the MKX we test drove was great once rolling, but even minute turbo lag in low speed traffic was annoying.
The 3.5TT has more down low grunt to help mask the lag in larger vehicles.
My point was more to that fact that many have said the Ranger Platform will only be sold with the 4 banger turbo because the cost to re-engineer it for a V6 would be prohibitive.
I say hogwash. Didn't stop Carroll Shelby.

2020 Ford Bronco could debut with a 7-speed manual

I'll believe it when I see it
Also, since it's going to be built on the same platform as the Ranger, that a V-6 ought hopefully be made available in the Ranger

Who in tFuck wants to shift a 7 speed transmission all over town.
Ford has gone off the deep end with this introduction.
Looks like they don't even know what the hell they are doing.

Ford can hardly be responsible for "artist renditions" that flood the internet.
Seeing all along how closely the new Ford Ranger resembles it's international brother, I can't see the new Bronco deviating far from the Ford Everest.
Although, I've read a new rear wheel drive explorer platform is expected in the near future as well

Me.
I love me some manual transmission.

5.0 with that 7 speed would be best. but I will take a TT V6.
My youngest son won't own/drive anything that isn't a row your own affair

The Bronco never served a purpose. It's wasn't a pickup and it wasn't a wagon.

Just like a jeep
Jeeps were a hit back home ...Washington state, but they're the last thing you want in Alaska .. at least the CJ's that is. Short wheelbase and shitty defrost.

Sure, going to want something with a lot of space when you want to go to the store and it's a long way off

Short wheelbase such as the CJ's will get ya killed lickety split on an icy road.

Yeah, my Bronco was the same.
They don't look macho, but nothing beats these new awd SUV's these days for icy roads. Those fvckers own the roads up here. Something like a Ford Edge, Subaru Forester, RAV4, etc ... they just flat out shit & git on the highway during a snowstorm.

If the story is true, it does make sense. First of all, it would be an option...and given that the Bronco will be a Wrangler-challenger, it's an option that some people will see as a must have. Secondly, they'll probably make that transmission for the next-gen Mustang, so it won't be restricted to one vehicle. If that's the case, I hope it replaces the MT-82....a transmission I'm not too fond of. Third, I think Ford is targeting markets around the world, where manuals are more common.

Like in the ME, Africa and everywhere else Toyota seems to have a monopoly on sales to radicals.
