Ah... I see it now. Yeah, he does say that... but it's not a stand alone comment as I read it. You read the whole quote and it's more of a dual argument... one part of it is ESPN and the NBA are partners, the other part is Lavar is a clown and should not be getting so much play.

Another way of putting what I'm saying is: I don't think Carlisle would have an issue or be playing the "ESPN and coaches are supposed to be buds" card if the critic in question was anything close to legitimate.

ESPN has the right to publish whatever they want. But it's the same as free speech, you have the right to say whatever you want - but you'll certainly be judged on it. ESPN as the "flagship" and their struggling numbers and payroll slashing, looks bad publishing that story and giving a blowhard like Lavar Ball the time of day.

Dude, that's harsh.

Plus, Making that fuckhead a Martyr.

With that being said, good for them on their peaceful protest.

Might not be a serious issue like racial equality or police brutality.

But, they have every right to stand together.

I don't think this was in the works.

But, no way can the Lakers fire Luke now....lol

It doesn't hurt the NBA at all. The owners that pay these coaches don't give two shits if they're available for questions from the media. Lavar's act is wearing thin with the NBA already. His attempt to become a pioneer is looking like a joke.

If Lonzo don't turn out to be a superstar, thinking the Lakers will regret picking him if this is what they have to deal with year after year

I'm sure the Lakers are already there.

Yep. We still have roughly another 3 months in the regular season. 3 more months for Lavar to start more drama.

Why would anyone want to take a risk on a guy like LiAngelo considering how Lavar is? He doesn't know it yet but any slim chance of LiAngelo eventually making an NBA roster as a 2 way player is slowly going down the toilet anytime Lavar opens his mouth.

The best thing Luke can do is not respond to Lavar gibberish. Papa Ball loves that attention. And Bill Walton was here in Boulder calling the Buffs game yesterday. Word is he visited multiple recreational marijuana centers before the game.

I saw him announce the Zona-Utah game where he was advocating solar.

No matter what he says, he loses.

Go HAM, risk alienating Lonzo.

Respond like this, you look like a bitch.

#NoWin

I'm shocked nobody has approached Bill Walton about this nonsense.

Luke Walton Responds to LaVar Ball's Criticism, Says It Doesn't Bother Him

The Lakers need to just ignore the idiot. Anyone in the organization who is asked about him should just say: "We don't discuss our players parents."

Anything more just encourages him to keep running his mouth.

Jemele Hill is full of shit. He didn't say they should side with coaches ffs. He said they should consider who the source is before they go putting wat someone says on national tv. What has Lavar ever done for him to be considered a credible or valid source.

This kind of bullshit is why so many consider ESPN a joke.

It almost came off as a threat when he mentioned the access and info Head Coaches allow to the writers.

I don't think he meant that. But, the implication of maybe losing that access isn't a big leap.
Whether he meant it that way or not, so what? I'm sure the coaches don't like what's happening to Luke any more than he does.

I see zero problem with the coaches organizing among themselves to limit ESPN's access until they stop repeating every idiotic word that comes out of Lavar's mouth.

I wouldn't want it to be something the league itself did. But if the coaches decided to take that kind of action on their own? I think that would be awesome.
