Butler has been phenomenal this playoffs.

That doesn’t make anything that was said about him in 2018 untrue unless people were saying he wasn’t a winner.

And I still take Lillard over Butler on most rosters. I think most people here would.

Ranking them otherwise would be an overreaction to the small sample size of what Butler has done in the Finals.

no- what i am saying is at that level- any type of revenue is totally outstripped by the sheer vastness of the numbers.

I mean- carrying a 160M payroll is expensive enough.......carrying a 110M dollar lux. tax bill is untenable.

Over a 3 year span you would be spending 810M on player salaries. No amount of patches, tv revenue, playoff game revenue, face tattoos of General Electric and Apple on Draymonds face can pay for that. A guy like LAcob- @Heatles84 said- had about 1.5B he said above or something right? Think about laying OVER half that out on JUST player salaries over a 3 year period.

Its not possible. At that point the math just does not work no matter how creative you get. AND thats if Durant is getting a discount, Klay is getting a discount, NOT factoring in Draymonds eventual raise, and they fill the other 8 roster spots for only about 15M a year.

You said they could not keep all 4 and this post does not say 4 max contracts. It says even with creative discounts the Warriors couldn’t afford it.

Yet they still offered injured KD and Klay full max deals.

I will stop short of calling you totally wrong because KD signed elsewhere altering the dynamic. I don’t believe the Dubs would have traded Draymond if KD re-upped, but it didn’t happen so we can’t say for sure.
