This is getting really ugly.
Rick Carlisle going in on ESPN and Lavar Ball.

Rick Carlisle: “No, I’m saying that they should look at their sources and do a better job of determining whether they have any merit or any validity. Or are they just blowhard loud-mouths.”This is getting really ugly.

Here's the problem, all he's doing is making Lavar more famous.Rick Carlisle: “No, I’m saying that they should look at their sources and do a better job of determining whether they have any merit or any validity. Or are they just blowhard loud-mouths.”
^ This is a perfect response to the question asked.
Yeah, I see what you mean... in this case, though, he's doing his job as president of the head coach's group or whatever that is.Here's the problem, all he's doing is making Lavar more famous.
Is that what Carlisle said? That the ESPN should "side with coaches" as a rule?Agreed
Sucks for Walton.Yeah, I see what you mean... in this case, though, he's doing his job as president of the head coach's group or whatever that is.
Carlisle framed the argument just right there... no one should give a damn what that clown thinks, and it kinda sucks that Walton has to take any grief on this circus front.
He heavily implied that.Is that what Carlisle said? That the ESPN should "side with coaches" as a rule?

I mean, I despise Lavar.
Ah... I see it now. Yeah, he does say that... but it's not a stand alone comment as I read it. You read the whole quote and it's more of a dual argument... one part of it is ESPN and the NBA are partners, the other part is Lavar is a clown and should not be getting so much play.Did you read the attach tweet that she responded to?
It seems clear that the fact that this is Lavar Ball talking and getting play is a big part of where Carlisle is coming from.He heavily implied that.
Again: He said that's not what he meant when asked.
So, I give him the benefit of the doubt.
Here's the problem, all he's doing is making Lavar more famous.
Dude, that's harsh.
bingo...
was thinking the same. Lavar truly believes there's no such thing as bad publicity...
