This is getting really ugly.

Rick Carlisle going in on ESPN and Lavar Ball.

Rick Carlisle: “No, I’m saying that they should look at their sources and do a better job of determining whether they have any merit or any validity. Or are they just blowhard loud-mouths.”

^ This is a perfect response to the question asked.

Here's the problem, all he's doing is making Lavar more famous.

Maybe the media should stop listening to anything and everything Lavar says...

Yeah, I see what you mean... in this case, though, he's doing his job as president of the head coach's group or whatever that is.

Carlisle framed the argument just right there... no one should give a damn what that clown thinks, and it kinda sucks that Walton has to take any grief on this circus front.

Sucks for Walton.

Risk alienating one of your foundational pieces or continue to eat shit?

Lose/Lose.

So, yeah....

I'm glad someone stood up for him.

But, Carlisle stepped on his Dick a little too.

In the full article he overstepped a bit.

You can't dictate what people report based on " relationships/partnerships".

It almost came off as a threat when he mentioned the access and info Head Coaches allow to the writers.

I don't think he meant that. But, the implication of maybe losing that access isn't a big leap.

Did you read the attach tweet that she responded to?
Ah... I see it now. Yeah, he does say that... but it's not a stand alone comment as I read it. You read the whole quote and it's more of a dual argument... one part of it is ESPN and the NBA are partners, the other part is Lavar is a clown and should not be getting so much play.

Another way of putting what I'm saying is: I don't think Carlisle would have an issue or be playing the "ESPN and coaches are supposed to be buds" card if the critic in question was anything close to legitimate.

He heavily implied that.

Again: He said that's not what he meant when asked.

So, I give him the benefit of the doubt.
It seems clear that the fact that this is Lavar Ball talking and getting play is a big part of where Carlisle is coming from.

Dude, that's harsh.

Plus, Making that fuckhead a Martyr.

With that being said, good for them on their peaceful protest.

Might not be a serious issue like racial equality or police brutality.

But, they have every right to stand together.

I don't think this was in the works.

But, no way can the Lakers fire Luke now....lol
