Where did you read that? Not doubting, just haven't heard it.
I looked it up when googling the New CBA agreement, but so far the Lakers best option appear to be the stretch provision - which would reduce the money under the cap to a little over 7 million for the next five years - a costly buy out, but would reduce that cap by 10 million next year

The Lakers best option might be to develop all of the new drafts and rookies enough that some of them are trade bait worthy enough for the other team to take the Deng contract, but I'm thinking the Lakers are screwed, but when I read that article, it indicated that Deng would have to agree to taking less money, so with Deng being owed 36 million/two years - takes 25 before this season expires, that entire 25 counts for this year and Deng is free and the Lakers are two - If Deng is not willing to take less money, then the Lakers will have to make it worth it for him to get bought out - even if the Lakers have to give him 30 of the 36 million - just to move that number off the books for next year. Per Lakersnation, the Lakers have given up on a trading Deng and are not willing to give up any more draft picks. It appears that the Magic Johnson era values those picks for the future

First Christmas in the US and the kids were going nuts. Been a busy time. Spent most of the 24th and 25th in the kitchen.

Happy New Year to you too.
Oh, I'm sure they enjoyed it....lol

I hid in my room for as long as possible.

Sadly, the in-laws were still here when I came out.

Got to see two of my three sisters and my three great nieces, and nephew. I stole the day with some barking dogs that walked. The girls played with then all day long - Perfect for a 7 year and under.

Not a lot of games tonight but some exciting finishes approaching.

Nets up 2 on Orlando with a minute to go.

Milwaukee/Toronto tied with 56 seconds left.

Russell told Kyrie yesterday that he's back in 2 weeks.

Should be at 17-19 wins at the end of this month IMO
I love Caris and think he, Crabbe and D'Lo could be a pretty good 3 guard rotation.

Not sure what they do long-term with Lin or Dinwiddie.

But, Staukas is a bust.

I don't get why they traded for Okafor but don't play him lol

Lin has a player option. He can't be stupid enough to opt out after missing almost all of the past 2 seasons right?

Dinwiddie is on a great deal for the Nets. Got him for this year and next making just 1 mill. I would prefer him over Lin once Russell is on the roster.

He is a very good backup PG. Also is only 24. Lin turns 30 this summer

One thing I love about DeRozan is he gets better every year.

OT with Portland/Chicago.

For a light 4 game night, this has been fun.
