No.

Nor would I if I'm a Team stacking Mega Star who's concerned about his place in history.

That's why I don't see him coming West until he loses a step or two.
Honestly, I don't see him coming out West either. Too much to deal with in the same conference in terms of the regular season. We all know he likes to take the path of least resistance. :dhd:

KCP has been good.

But, he's not worth 19 mil...lol

Brook Slow-pez is not your Center of the future either.

So, losing them is a big.........meh.

But, depending on the price....

They might regret not keeping Randle and Clarkson gets buckets while on a very team friendly deal.

If they add PG and LeBron to that core of youngsters they will regret nothing. They do need both though.

With the continued improvement of Philly, Milwaukee, Boston, etc the East has a lot more resistance. Year to date the East still has a winning record vs the West

KCP is a product of his environment IMO. I mean, someone has to get the shine on a team made up of practically all rookies. LOL
Brook is akin to the sloth in Zootopia.

I think Clarkson is needed until Lonzo gets fully acclimated to the game...unless you can replace him with an upgrade PG.

I like Randle, but I think he should be further along in his development given his time in the league. Of course, that's just my opinion though.

Year to what date?? If we look at seasons past and only take record in consideration (meaning taking the conference differential out of the equation) the West has been the top 3-5 teams.

I mean this year, 2017-18 season. The East isn't as bad as past years.

That Cavs/Lakers game shall be known as Jose Calderon's Revenge.

One should suffice just to be competitive enough. Add PG13 to this current roster and they make the playoffs easily. Not saying they stand a chance but the young guys will only get better.

Sure.

But competitive in the West means a first round playoff exit. Unless that star is LeBron. LeBron ain't coming unless another star goes with him.

So he plays 7 more years. Maybe the last 3 he's an add on to the 2021 version of the Warriors (Sixers?). 6 rings is not out of the question depending on what team he manages to be on, if he plays that many more years. Obviously not a lock.

That assumes he is winning a title in the next 3 years, which I don't think is very likely.

Clarkson isn't needed if they get LeBron. LeBron is the best PG in the NBA.

Lonzo had a pretty solid game vs the Cavs.

13 points, 11 assists, and 8 rebounds, and 2 steas. And he's shooting better, 5 of 11.

Randle and Clarkson. Both of whom are likely to be allowed to walk anyway. Also, Lopez and KCP would be gone. The main core of Ball, Ingram, Kuzma, Nance and probably Hart will still be intact.

I'd expect 3 years max...maybe 4.

It would make their jobs and ability to grow easier. Plus they'd be seeing how a championship player prepares and plays. If they're smart, they'll be sponges around him.

As you point out, he's going to be 33. Pretty safe bet that wherever he signs, it will be his last stop.

I expect it would be to continue with adding pieces to the young core that would remain and be entering their primes.

Jordan is under contract, he has to be traded. Randle can exit on his own since he's a FA.

Why would they? They hid the conversation from the world for a reason.

The media is so stupid. If they hid the conversation from everyone after the game, I have no idea why they would ask both guys again 5 minutes later in the locker room.

Things like that is why players hate the media.

I'll be surprised if he does. He seems to be setting himself up for life after basketball and doing so at a fairly quick pace. He doesn't seem like one who'd be that interested in sticking around for 3 or 4 years as a role player.

Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens.

On the one hand, he's made a few pretty strong statements recently about wanting to be around for his kids. He said his kids will basically decide when he retires.

On the other hand, he's gonna have so many big-time longevity-records within his grasp that I think - for his personality - could be hard to walk away from. KAJ's scoring record, for example.
