That is part of it.

He is not a future superstar. If he were, he would have been in the untouchable list regardless of the locker room issues. Teams don't trade 3rd year players like Russell in salary dumps unless they are convinced he won't be that great.

I think it's a bit early to say he isn't a future superstar....he's still young and could improve to the point where he could be considered one.

However, he needs to continue to mature and improve....

Yeah Russell isn't going to be a superstar at all. He can be a good player and maybe even an All Star. Superstar? Highly unlikely

Crazy how bad the Hornets are this year. Thought they would bounce back and play like they did during the 2015-2016 season

Before Russell got hurt he was averaging 21ppg, 5.7apg and 4.7rpg. Kyrie is averaging 24ppg, 4.8apg, (1 apg less per game than last year) & 3.0rpg.

Hollow numbers for Russell. Lots of talent, little substance.

I never considered kyrie a superstar til this year. Thought he was a star and top 15/20 player but never a superstar

They've won two in a row. Don't look now!

Or, with this Bulls team, probably shouldn't look at all.
I would be looking

They didn't have a point guard, but they always had traditional centers.

A lineup of MJ, Pippen, Harper, Kukoc and Rodman could have played a positionless style, but it wasn't used as often as it probably should have been because of the era.
The way I rember it was they had the tradition positionS, but did not rely as much on them

Pretty sure it was Don Nelson who started it. He was just before his time. First time I really recall it working was the We Believe team who ran out a lineup of Baron Davis, JRich, Pietrus, Stephen Jackson , Al Harrington, Matt Barnes, Monta Ellis, etc.

But even before then I think he used smaller lineups in the early 90s too.

Didn't he coach Run TMC?
