There is not a player in the league avg 10+ apg. When was the last time that happened?

John Wall averaged 10.7 apg last year. And Westbrook averaged 10.4.

Don't think you understood my post. The league leader is at 9.7

I was wondering when was the last time we didn't have a player avg 10+ APG

I tried typing in year by year NBA assist leaders. According to bball-ref.com J. Kidd in '03-'04 averaged 9.2 assists.

So 14 years. Wow

Yeah I was kinda surprised it had been that long as well.

Wouldn't surprise me if we see this happen a bit more often going forward. As the game continues to move more towards positionless basketball, we will likely continue to see more players, besides just pg's, who are capable of handling the ball and passing well.

I agree w/ that. The game sure has changed a lot since I started watching on a regular basis back in the early 80's.

Exactly!

I love positionless basketball.

Spo started it with the big 3
Pretty sure it was Don Nelson who started it. He was just before his time. First time I really recall it working was the We Believe team who ran out a lineup of Baron Davis, JRich, Pietrus, Stephen Jackson , Al Harrington, Matt Barnes, Monta Ellis, etc.

But even before then I think he used smaller lineups in the early 90s too.
