People are acting like they don't have talent.

Russ is averaging 20, 6, and 5.

Okafor is good for 15-16ppg and 7-8rpg.

Carroll is good for 14ppg or so.

They have Lin (when healthy) and Dinwiddie (12ppg and 6apg) at PG.

They have Crabbe averaging 12ppg.

If they added a semi superstar via FA or trade in the next 1-2 seasons they could def be a postseason team in the EC.

No one is saying they don't have talent. They don't have the kind of talent that it takes to win a lot of games and they don't have much way to acquire that kind of talent.

To illustrate, let me ask you a question:

The Lakers, with their talent, are looking like they will win about 30-35 games this year.

The Nets, with their talent, are also looking like they will win about 30-35 games this year.

If neither team could make any roster changes over the next couple of seasons...whose talent would you rather have?

Irving scored 17 points in the first quarter, on pace for a 68 point game.

The Lakers but the Nets aren't too far behind. There is a misconception they don't have talent and it's why I said their draft pick wasn't going to be as good as many thought when it was traded.

Russell could be a solid #2 option I think....he's in his 3rd season and has shown some progress......if he made a jump in his 4th season......he could be a legit player next to a superstar.

No. No he can't.

Crazy talk.

If he had superstar potential, he would still be a Laker.

Thompson to the Nets would be interesting.

Why the hell would he do that?

Do you honestly think any legitimately good, established player would want to play with russell and Okafor? Cmon man. Also, those guys don't pass. Klay needs ball movement.

They have a collection of cast offs. They aren't the worst team in the league any more, but they are getting incrementally better just in time to get their picks back. Now that it actually could make sense to tank, they are building to a 35 win type roster.

Thompson is an under-rated passer and he would get enough shots to be the man.

Russell doesn't pass? He was averaging, 20, 6, and 5 before he got hurt.

There is no misconception. What has been said is that they don't have the talent they need to win a lot of games and they have no cap space and no tradeable assets that will get them that talent.

The Nets are actually farther behind the Lakers than you think. The Lakers have more young, potentially frontline talent, so if both teams stood pat for the next couple of seasons, the Lakers would project to be quite a bit better than the Nets.

The Lakers also have more tradeable assets, cap space and the ability to open up even more cap space to chase FA's. The Nets do not.

The Nets best player going forward is probably Russell who is really nothing more than a solid #3 option on a good team. Unless they can pull off some kind of trade that would be considered felony fraud or racketeering in most states, they have no way to get a #1 and #2 option to go with him.

Is it impossible that the Nets could pull off getting a #1 and #2 option to go with Russell and pull off a Rams like turnaround? Of course, I wouldn't call anything impossible.

But it is highly, highly improbable.

He is a selfish player. Averaging 6 assists is not great for a primary ball handler. Besides, assists don't necessarily indicate a players' passing ability.

No, it's Friday night and I think the normal trouble makers are out trying to get some p***y.

Based on what I've seen over there, you should see plenty of meltdowns over the weekend then. There will be a lot of frustrated folks in there. :heh:

Kings beat Boogie with Buddy hitting the OT forcing shot and Mason hitting the dagger in OT, Kings won the trade for sure

Buddy for 6th man
And trade Z-Bo! He's playing well maybe some team desperate for scoring would be dumb enough to take him.
I'd say trade Hill but idk who would want him right now.

I would understand him getting days of rest on the 1st or 2nd day of a B2B, but they had today off. Yeah the 76ers want Embiid to stay healthy and this isn't title or bust, but the bubble wrap has to be taken off eventually.

Just realized they have a B2B Saturday and Sunday so they want him against AD/Boogie over the Cavs. Still can't protect him forever.
