Not true, there are others' that have reacted similarly. This is nothing new. Only difference is Portis got "them hands" & Mriotek found out the hard way.

My first thought was Portis did the damage - Reminds me Trayvon Martin who was murdered by Zimmerman claiming self defense. If Mirotek attacked first, then he is partly to blame, but as an adult you have to remember that self defense does not give you the right to over-react and nearly kill the guy. I do understand the position though having had to defend myself a few times over the years. Both of these young men are exactly that - they are still kids in men's bodies and haven't matured beyond that quite yet. I wish both of them the best of luck in growing up and having successful careers

And? They were still titles won by the organization. It's not like they're claiming ABA titles along with NBA titles. The Celtics claim their titles from before the merger. So does every other team with pre-merger titles.
